Jehovah’s Witnesses Mobilize Global Response to Threat of Ban in Russia

The Kremlin in Moscow

Threatened with an imminent ban on their worship in Russia, Jehovah’s Witnesses are responding with a direct appeal to the Kremlin and Supreme Court officials for relief through a global letter-writing campaign.

Meanwhile, the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses is inviting the over 8,000,000 Witnesses worldwide to participate in the letter-writing campaign.

On March 15, 2017, Russia’s Ministry of Justice filed a claim with the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation to label the Administrative Center of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia as extremist, and to liquidate it. The claim also seeks to ban the activities of the Administrative Center.

“If the Supreme Court upholds this claim, the Witnesses’ national headquarters near St. Petersburg will be shut down. Subsequently, some 400 registered Local Religious Organizations would be liquidated, outlawing the services of over 2,300 congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia. The branch property, as well as places of worship used by Witnesses throughout the country, could be seized by the State,” the Witnesses said.

Additionally, individual Jehovah’s Witnesses would become subject to criminal prosecution for merely carrying out their worship activities.

Meanwhile, the Russian Supreme Court is expected to rule on the claim on April 5. “Russia revises the Law on Counteracting Extremist Activity, which vaguely defines extremism,” research revealed.

“The Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses wants to heighten attention to this critical situation,” states David A. Semonian, a spokesman at the Witnesses’ world headquarters.

“Prosecuting non-violent, law-abiding citizens as if they were terrorists is clearly a misapplication of anti-extremist laws. Such prosecution is based on completely false grounds,” Semonian said.

The Witnesses’ global campaign is not without precedent. Nearly 20 years ago, Witnesses wrote to defend their fellow worshippers in Russia in response to a smear-campaign by some members of the government in power at the time.

Additionally, Witnesses have initiated past letter-writing campaigns to motivate government officials to end persecution of Witnesses in other countries, including Jordan, Korea, and Malawi.

“Reading the Bible, singing, and praying with fellow worshippers is clearly not criminal,” adds Mr. Semonian.

“We hope that our global letter-writing campaign will motivate Russian officials to stop this unjustifiable action against our fellow worshippers,” said Semonian.
It may be recalled that 2016 marks 125 years since Czarists authorities banished Semyon Kozlitskiy, one of the first Jehovah Witnesses in Russia, for preaching the Bible’s message.

In 1891, without a trial, Mr. Kozlitskiy was shackled in chains and exiled to Siberia, where he lived until his death in 1935.
Over the past century, Russia’s feelings toward Jehovah’s Witnesses have remained largely the same. As noted in the latest reporting cycle of the United Nations Human Rights Committee, numerous sources indicate that Russia continues “to curtail freedom of expression…and freedom of religion, targeting, inter alia, Jehovah’s Witnesses.”
The UN Human Rights Committee has been mandated to monitor compliance with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights to which Russia is a state party.

  1. Our world is getting interesting every day. I am very certain the end of the world is near. No more peace for the entire world. Even those big countries that used to ruled the world are now confused and world leaders have failed to set the record straight. Now we are hearing religious ban all over the world. From Uncle SAM to ST PETER Lord have mercy on our world.

  2. If Russia rules that Jehovah’s Witnesses are EXTREMIST the same as ISIS….what chance do you believe that ANY religion outside of JWs would have a chance to survive?

    Think about it.

In science, thee is a ‘base line’ for every hypothesis…one extreme and one mild. ISIS you could say is very extreme depending on the times. Back in the day, Catholics were extreme among other religions. But Jehovah’s Witness? You cant make them pick up a butter knife. They are like the sheep of religion.

When was the last time you saw a JW in the news other than knocking on your door at 10 in the morning? They even come at 10 so that you can get over your hangover especially on holidays. Thats as extreme as it gets. So if this is the baseline for Russia to use as a measuring tool of extremism….then you do realize what that means for the rest of the religions of the world with political influence in governmental affairs?

Your religion don’t have a chance.

JWs will never pick up a knife, protest in groups, fight in wars in any country. Your families will never hear the words, ‘my family member was killed by a JW in the battle line’. Can you say that about any other religion. If anything, they are serving time in prison (like South Korea, Russia, etc) for NOT serving or willing to pick up a gun in any military warfare. I say this to say, if you use ‘sheep’ who have absolutely no political goals whatsoever….as your baseline for proving your point….your point will never be served correctly. All other type of religions should be very afraid because they will be next in line for being on the chopping block as ‘extremism’. Just saying.

      • any one who is fighting Jehovah people here on earth should dat he is Challenging d creator of heavens and earth,we practice true realigion but yet u hate us ,we dont protest ur orders, yet u call Extremist,no mater how had they try we give cus our is strongr than they, was it not Jehovah who the king of babillon to eat grass, whold u put him to the test oo u molta man ,you are putting ur hands in the eyes of the almighty ,u will get wot u have planted,. as for us we shall pray to our he will save from ur wicked ambition

      • This ban is not regarding individual Jehovah’s Witnesses as peaceful people. Russia is banning the extreme practices that Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania Inc (Jehovah’s Witnesses’ legal entity) requires Jehovah’s Witnesses to participate in to remain as members of its organization.
Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, Inc’s extreme practices include these facts:
        1. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses directs an ostracizing/extreme shunning of Jehovah’s Witnesses who voice disagreement with Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, Inc policies and teachings, not even speaking with ostracized members, viewing them as “slain by Jehovah”.
        2. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses do not encourage Jehovah’s Witnesses to report crimes which fellow Jehovah’s Witnesses commit against them or against their children to proper authorities when there aren’t two witnesses to the crime. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses cite its organization’s two witness policy. Not following Headquarter’s two witness policy can result in extreme shunning of the victim.
        3. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses direct that Jehovah’s Witnesses will be “disfellowshipped” for accepting a whole blood transfusion. This will lead to extreme shunning. Regardless to there being possibly better alternatives to whole blood transfusions, medical treatment should be a private matter and not controlled by Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses. This is extreme control.
        4. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses direct that anyone who is not associated with its organization will be destroyed at a battle called Armageddon. This is extremism and a scare tactic appearing to be an attempt to gain members into this so-called “elite” organization.
        5. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses direct that friendship with anyone other than fellow Jehovah’s Witnesses (the world/worldly people) is dangerous and bad association. This is extreme separation from rest of the community.
        6. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses discourage Jehovah’s Witnesses from attending four-year colleges and universities. This is extreme control over Jehovah’s Witnesses’ right to higher education.
        7. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses changes its teachings many times and will direct Jehovah’s Witnesses to shun any fellow Jehovah’s Witnesses who voice disagreement with the changes. Then, Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses may change a teaching to agree with the view of the member who voiced disagreement, yet, that member may be still shunned. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses calls itself “The Truth” both before and after it changes its teachings. The organization cannot be “The Truth” both before and after changing teachings. To make such a claim is an extreme lie.
        8. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses has given poor advice for battered women to remain in abusive marriages and changed this advice after many extreme problems.
        9. Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses direct Jehovah’s Witnesses to give it blind obedience. In its November 2013 Watchtower magazine study edition under the topic “Seven Shepherds, Eight Dukes – What They Mean for Us Today, paragraph 17, Jehovah’s Witnesses are given this direction: “(1) The most practical step that we can take to prepare for the coming attack of “the Assyrian” is that of strengthening our faith in God and helping our brothers to do the same. (2) When “the Assyrian” attacks, the elders must be absolutely convinced that Jehovah will deliver us. (3) At that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not. (4) Now is the time for any who may be putting their trust in secular education, material things, or human institutions to adjust their thinking. The elders must stand ready to help any who may now be wavering in their faith.” This direction is extreme mind control and could make a thinking person question what will be these instructions which will require this blind obedience.

        • I’m not sure where you got your information, but that’s not at all what the Russian government is saying. Have you read the law?

        • Mr. Enoch, most observers can tell right away that the above claimed “facts” are extreme and exaggerated statements or conclusions, to the extent that they are untruthful, making your argument invalid. Perhaps you have a ‘bone to pick’ with this organization? In the interest of full disclosure, were you once a dedicated and baptized JW, but later chose not to follow their Bible-based teachings regarding God’s standards for one claiming to be a Christian, and were subsequently expelled?

          • Do you know how many are disfellowshiped for rejecting doctrine “unique” (this is actually a disfellowshiping point) to Jehovah’s Witnesses, and not according to God’s standards as outlined in the bible? Do you know that anointed ones and other brethren who realize that the continuous changing teachings and submissiveness toward men is a delusion called truth but in reality is THE LIE of 2 Thess 2:1-12? 1 Pet 4:17; Acts 5:29; James 4:12; Rom 14:4 Do you realize that if an anointed one “wakes up” to whom he or she must obey – the Master Christ, and not a self-appointed elder body, he or she is disfellowshiped, considered spiritually “dead”? Matt 6:24; John 16:2; Rev 13:15 Also, sir, do you realize that there is nothing that God allows to be associated with him that is made by man? He considers it idolatry. Isa 46:5 The organization has become Jehovah’s Witnesses salvation in much the same way as the calf in Moses’ day. While you “move ahead” or struggle to “keep pace” with “Jehovah’s organization”, keep in mind that those who rebelled against Moses and desired the golden calf to “go before” the people. Exod 32:1 The GB has allowed a false priesthood to rule over God’s authentic priesthood – the anointed ones. 1 Pet 2:5,9. This is the “defiling” of God’s Temple and the “disgusting thing standing in the ‘holy place’ of Matt 24:15 1 Cor 3:16,17 If you recognize this extreme form of power against God’s anointed ones, you are to FLEE. Matt 24:15,16

        • You obviously don’t know the scriptures. You are so wrong about JW’s. What you say is completely false it does not deserve a response. Jehovah’s day will come. 2 Thesolonians 1: 8.

        • The court will criminally prosecute individual Jehovah’s Witnesses if the ban takes place. There are over 175,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia. Some members have already faced trial for their worship. In the times of the Soviet Union many were exiled to Siberia without even a trial. Should someone be criminally prosecuted for worshipping peacefully just because someone doesn’t agree with their beliefs? Where is freedom of religion? Who has the right to set the standards as to what we are to believe? What could happen to you if someone didn’t agree with what you believe?

        • Comment:JEHOVAH, wil fight for is servant freedom and he will put william and russian goverment to shame today. Sennacherib, pharaoh, nebuchadnezzar Had Dia Own Share Of Stuborness … Be Wise

        • Comment: Mr Enoch Williams, its obvious that u hate this religious organisation whom u are speaking against maybe because they do not fall to the poor and dirty religious standard which u profess. But i must remind u- if you have ever read the bible before that their master, Jesus already prepared them and told them beforehand that “they would be hated, be haled before kings and governors on account of his name” (Jesus). And that is what is happening now. So may i ask you Mr Enoch and i honestly expect you to repply me afterward, why where Christ true followers as at then persecuted, imprisoned, even killed or ostracised, e.g Apostle John exiled to the Island of Patmos? were the disciples of Jesus also LABELLED “extremists? Mr Enoch if u are a right-thinking person, please answer this my question, WHY WILL IT ALWAYS BE IN THE HANDS OF THE KINGS & GOVERNORS THAT CHRIST TRUE FOLLOWERS AS LAW-ABIDING AS THEY ARE, WOULD SUFFER THIS PROPHESIED PERSECUTION? were their persecutors and prosecutors ever seeing them (Christ Desciples) as doing the right thing? even a mere cursory look at the scritures, if u ever come close to your bible will reveal to you that ALL SUCH PERSECUTIONS AGAINST THE TRUE CHRISTIANS THEN WAS FORMENTED AND SCHEMED BY RELIGIOUS LEADERS OF THE JEWISH RELIGION. And that is exactly the case today as its beeing formented by the Russian Orthodox religious leaders against Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia now. so now, who is the one that
should be labelled “extreme”? the one formenting trouble and persecuting/prosecuting the law-abiding citizen, or the law-abiding citizen that is beeing persecuted? Mr Enoch i am willing to help you grow mentally if you promise me that you will be humble.

        • You are a complete toss pot and should keep your one sided and flawed opinions to your self..or maybe go to Russia and see what happens to the right to have freedom of speech

        • Could not have said it better.
I would not call them extreme it’s though..
I grew up a Jehovah’s Witness and those reasons right there was the reason why I am not one today..
They also think they are the only ones that are going to live forever. I will never talk against the witnesses cuz they believe in God too but I’m also a god believer..

    • That is what we as Jehovah’s Witnesses hope that the Russian officials will see that we are in no way Extremist, but we are peaceful and love our neighbor as ourselves and would never hurt anyone or deliberately break the law. We strive to live the bible principle that Jesus said we should “DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD YOURSELF” We have love for people and want to show them what the bible says about being peaceable and to love one another and how to live together in peace and unity. This is what Jehovah’s Witnesses wish to accomplish in Russia, TO WORSHIP IN PEACE WITH OUR FELLOWS RUSSIAN BROTHERS AND TO BE ABLE TO SHARE THE PEACE AND LOVE FOR OUR NEIGHBOR MESSAGE IN THE BIBLE AND HOW TO LIVE TOGETHER IN UNITY AND PEACE WITH EACH OTHER, sincerely

    • Well, it’s the Russian Orthodox Church pushing this. They’ve bullied other smaller religions already, as well as other groups the church has issues with, like the LGBT community. They want an orthodox theocracy in power.

  3. JW’s are merely doing what Jesus commanded, ie to preach a message of peace. If this is wrong I dont know what is not. Leave them to serve their God. They are not hurting anyone. In line with bible prophecy though “Governments will seek to ban religion soon” This is just the beginning of the end of this wicked world. Like what happened to Soddom and Gomorah and the flood in Noah’s day.

    • Do you have a King James Bible, if you do, in that bible at Psalms 83:18 it shows gods name if it has not been taken out. If it has, it will have been replaced by Lord.

  4. I am lost for words… how this could even begin to happen to people who are only trying to save lives and bring hope to those who are crushed at heart by this system that’s lying in the power of the wicked(1John 5:19) -that is Satan. Is it so wrong to declare the thoughts that Jehovah is thinking toward mankind, thoughts of peace and not of calamity, to give mankind a future and a hope (Jeremiah 28:11)…is that so wrong???This hope is found in the bible, Revelation 21:3;4 gives mankind the hope that every tear will be wiped from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning not outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things (which is now the present) will have passed away. This is by no means “bad news” but contrary the “good news of God’s kingdom”,the kingdom through which Jehovah will use to rid Satan’s wicked system. That is by far the greatest news that the world has come learn about ,the same good news that Matthew 24:14 says must be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to the nations. I fail to see how this could harm anything or anyone. PLEASE allow Jehovah’s witnesses to go on walking in love(love for Jehovah and fellow humans) just as did Christ (Ephesians 5:2)for God is for them and nothing could ever separate them from Christ’s love (Romans 8:31-39)”who will separate us from the love of the Christ? Will…persecution…or sword? On the contrary in all these things we coming off completely victorious through the one who loved us.For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor Angeles nor governments not things now here nor things to come nor powers nor height not depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus out Lord”…they’d rather be imprisoned for their faith @GG strong point there.

  5. If Jehovahs Witnesses are extreme, seditious, etc…them the Bible is…for that is what they follow…
Jesus came to the earth to,preach love and harmony..he was never a political contrary he rejected any political advances from the Jews.. “my Kingdom is no part of this world”..he said…Jehovahs Witnesses try their best to follow his lead.

    • Where does the Bible say you can’t have a beard? Where does the Bible say you can’t celebrate a birthday? (There are three birthday celebrations in the Bible by the way, not two. Read the book of Job) Where does it say that kids can’t play sports or pursue higher education? Where does the Bible say that Blood Transfusions are not ok to save a life, oh, but parts of the blood are ok, just not all of it. JWs are full of man made rules that are not in the Bible.

  6. No one mess with Jehovah and get away. We are his witnesses and he will definitely won. Watch the history of Jehovah’s witness you will see. Let us put them in our prayer.

  7. Jehovah’s witnesses are neutral all over the world ,they don’t partake in politics, war or any form of violence protest ,they were known for their preaching word, they always talk about Gods kingdom and his wonderful purposes for this earth they never casticate or criticize any one
They solemnly base their teaching in the bible ,is that an extrimise ?
The Russian government should please look into this threat of ban and reverse it

  8. If their definition of extremism is to be teaching a message contrary to most other religions, then Jesus and the Apostles would have been labeled extremist. Jesus undoubtedly believed that the message he taught was correct and from God, and he condemned the religious teachings of the day by the popular religion. Jesus was killed and some of the 1st century followers were killed for that reason. This is living proof that Gods standards never change, while standards of the world sink deeper and deeper

    • If Jesus was here today, the Jehovah’s Witnesses would disfellowship him. He had a beard. He hung out with tax collectors and prostitutes. He allowed men and women to bow before him, he never corrected them. That is blasphemy, unless he is God. You are right, God’s standards never change. But the Jehovah’s Witnesses teachings sure do.

  9. Objective of this ban is for the so purpose to see who is the greatest Satan or Jehovah Satan is the ruler of this world a the Bible this at first john5 verse 19.
Along with his religious organisation, his commercial organisation ,he also has his political organisation.
Moral decline, paganism, spiritism, he believes he has it all.
    BUT not for much longer.

    • You have it all mixed up, Satan is ruler right now, that’s why bad things are happening. Jehovah or Lord, is letting Satan rule for a short time. To us, that is a long time because 1000 years is a day to god, so it could be 2025 or 2089 ect. before Satan’s time is up as ruler. So god will rule after his time is up then the world will be peaceful again.

  10. If Jehovah’s witnesses are neutral shoulf they be envouraging their membets to write to the government asking them to changa political decision?

    • Petition of the courts and government is THE most neutral and peaceful thing you can do when faced with injustice – it happened here in the good old USA and religious rights were upheld by the federal courts! Expressing your wish to talk publicly about your beliefs is SO fundamental to any normal human’s desire for freedom. You should easily see why this is important and worth the effort!

    • Writing letters “in the defending and legally establishing of the good news” does not denote a double standard, but rather the following of precedent set in the bible.(Phil 1:7) The Apostle Paul too used his rights as a roman citizen and the laws of the day to fight for the freedom to share the good news. He told Festus: “I am standing before the judgment seat of Caesar, where I ought to be judged. I have done no wrong to the Jews, as you also are finding out quite well. . . . I appeal to Caesar!” (Acts 25:10-12) Paul appealed to a higher legal authority setting a precedent for us today. We are doing what we can and making use of what legal provisions are available to defend the good news, while remaining neutral and taking advantage of what rights we have just as Paul did.

    • I believe it’s asking them to reconsider the matter. Because our russian brothers lives are in the balance. If you believe that JWS are some sort of extreme group are faction, then I would agree. Why write on a matter with know lawful basis. But the truth of the matter is, The Russian government is breaking there own laws. I humbly suggest you look at the facts before you shed your personal issues with Jehovah witnesses or some person affiliated with them. If you were in Russian, and your basic freedoms are being violated. You better believe I will do everything with in my power to assist you. And writing a letter is the least I can do. I say these words with all do respect. Thanks

    • It seems you don’t understand the world neutral. Please go back to school again. Have you ever seen a Jehovah’s Witness in a protest march against a government or any organization? Have every seen a Jehovah’s Witness in the military, war, or any kind of hooliganism?
Jehovah’s Witnesses value human life and for the reason they don’t involve themselves in anything that will hurt their neighbor. They are very peaceful. They change drunkards into respectful and useful persons in society. The change arm rubbers and drug addicts into useful and respectful people.
Have you ever attended any of their religious meetings, assemblies, and conventions? Just visit them and you will experience the kind of joy you have never felt.

    • yes, they should stand up for what they believe is right. Peter, John, Barnabus, and Paul were severely persecuted for their Christian convictions, and did not stop speaking about the Christ (Acts 4:20), and chose to obey Jehovah rather than earthly authorities that demanded from them their silence (Acts 5:20).

Stephen stood before the Sanhedrin and gave a thorough testimony testimony for the hope in him before he was stoned to death (Acts 7: 1-60). Paul shares extensively of the trials he suffered (2 Corinthians 11: 23-29). And after all of that, he was still compelled to ask, “Who will separate us from the love of the Christ?” (Romans 8:35-39).

So yes, when it comes to the issue of defending our faith, and standing in solidarity with our brothers globally, we are duty-bound by Jehovah to do so (Ezekiel 3:17-21).

    • Its not a political decision…its a legal decision. Russia is saying they are breaking the law. Writing a letter is not a political action. Its the first step in the process of claiming a grievance.

    • Jehovah’s Witnesses are neutral in the sense that they do not choose sides in political affairs, they do not vote to choose human rulers, or see one nation or form of government as superior to another. They do not engage or take sides in war. Jesus said his disciples were no part of this world and so they stay out of political affairs. (John 15:17-21;17:14,16) They do however respect the superior authorities (whoever was elected or is leader in any given nation) as admonished in Romans 13:1 ” Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God”. They recognize that God has allowed these leaders to be in their respective positions of authority and thus show them respect. When being unjustly persecuted they appeal to these authorities as did the apostle Paul when he was imprisoned for preaching the word of Christ. (Acts 28:17-19 Men, brothers, although I had done nothing contrary to the people or the customs of our forefathers, I was handed over as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans. 18 And after making an examination, they wanted to release me, for there were no grounds for putting me to death. 19 But when the Jews objected, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar, but not because I had any accusation to make against my nation)

  11. Anyone who would let their children die for not having blood is EXTREMISM? Wouldn’t you agree?? They won’t take a knife or gun to war but would make a decision on an innocent child who is not old enough to make their own decisions. You do not christen babies so they can make their own decision when they get older but yet you make a decision on their young lives.

    • Your demonstrated ignorance (or lack of factually accurate knowledge on this matter), is incredible. Unbelievable even.

    • I have had surgery and used blood substitutes like ringer solution. Blood transfusions are not safe and screening doesn’t catch all the offenders. I know of many people who came down with HIV or Hepatitis C. How could any one say that that is loving to subject children with that. Jehovah himself the God of the bible put the stipulation on blood on us. Genesis 9:4, Lev 7:26, 17:11obviouly this is talking about eating it. But the principals apply. If your doctor said abstain from alcohol it will kill you. Would you then skirt the issue and do a direct IV feed into your vain s?
I am alive today for not taking blood. Because blood had thinners I would have bleed to death it has happened. Also I am free from the worry that I will come down at a future date with some blood born pathogen. Their fore it is the right for Jehovah’s witnesses to get better care than dangerous blood transfusions and to please Jehovah God by not sacrificing our children to the gods of healing.

      • In fact here in our country the medical practitioners are calling for LESS blood because they have seen how quickly Jehovah’s Witness patients get better without blood because the body is not fighting a foreign body thus lowering the immune system. Jehovah’s Witnesses have been the reason that the medical faction are looking at doing more bloodless surgery.

Even in the second world war – alternatives like Coconut water was used, because it contains electrolytes and the same makeup as hemoglobin does and is sterile. Blood is a money making racket and does not ensure anyone is getting the proper medical care we all deserve – Jehovah’s Witnesses or not.

      • Taylor If it were Facebook I would have liked your comment. “Unless you ar not a follower of Jesus Christ then you can go ahead and skip God’s laws and replace with your own standard. He that Created Us knows what is best for us.”

      • My daughter was born with a major heart defect. It required emergency surgery or she would die. I followed the teachings that I was taught all my life and used the Hospital Liason Committee provided by the Jehovah’s Witnesses. They sat me down before the surgery and told me that they had a special arrangement with the Surgeon. He would not use blood unless medically necessary. After 8 hours of surgery he deemed it medically necessary. My daughter’s life was saved. After the surgery, the HLC told me an my wife that while we were free to talk to others, it would be advisable to not tell them that our daughter got a blood transfusion as it may stumble others. They thanked us for our faith and devotion to Jehovah’s laws.

Fast forward six months. The Circuit Overseer is in town and stops over our home for a special visit. He commends us for our faith through difficult times. Then he proceeds to tell us that our devotion God has saved our child’s life. He said that he would like to submit an article to be published in the Awake about our story and an example to others that faith in God will bring blessings.

Sorry… but our daughter was saved by a good surgeon and a blood transfusion. And my life was saved because I realized at that moment that the JW organization is not who they profess to be. I started doing research and finally learned the TRUTH!

    • Jo s
so that is a reason why you fight with JWs beçause they doñt allow there self to receive any typ of blood?but why people from Russia?showing us that you people you are not sick in your brains

    • Please, read much about blood transfusion and you will appreciate why Jehovah’s Witnesses refuse blood transfusion. Please, be mindful that they don’t refuse medical treatment its the transfusion they refuse. Ask a well qualified to tell you if he will allow himself or his family to be transfuse as the best medical option. Blood transfusion has killed thousands and its still killing. Thanks to technology, today if the most serious surgery is done without blood transfusion. Gone are the days when people are told if you don’t accept blood transfusion you will die. Those lies have been exposed by doctors who are open to new and advance methods of treatment and who respect the rights of patients.
Now let me asks you this question: If the doctors infuse the blood on the patient and the patient dies, do the doctors take responsibility for the death? Have not seen a patient who has been transfused but still dies? Please, click on this link and see what the medical field as to offer when it comes to blood and transfusion.

    • Writing letters examining your beliefs is not the same as taking part in politics. The apostle Paul appealed to Caesar for justice in his case. If done respectfully, it is only asking for basic human righs.

    • Let me provide you with some insight: If a child is sick and is allergic to a medication that is guarenteed to cure their ailment…do you still give them that medication? No. Because you’d inadvertently kill the child from anaphylaxis. You know there are other treatments that could be administered to try to save that child’s life. Same thing. People think that the only way to replenish blood supply is to administer more blood. But if you do your research, there are plenty of other treatments that do not require a blood transfusion. You wouldn’t criticize a vegan for not ingesting animal products because of their ideals but you would assume to criticize a Witness for their bible trained conscience by refusing other people’s bodily fluids? Hmmm…

    • Only the best, most skilled surgeons in the world can operate without blood products. Jehovah’s Witnesses have helped make Surgeons recognize risks of operating or treating with blood. My son had 2 heart surgeries before he was 10 without blood and is healthy at 36 years old. Which surgeon would you want to operate on you or your family?

    • Have you ever seen how blood is handled or cleaned up? The individual is practically in a hazmat suit, and there is caution around the blood. Yet, people want to lable Jehovah’s Witnesses ‘extremists’ because they refuse to put that in their body or their childs body?
Blood is sacred to Jehovah God. It’s not some tinker toy to be passed around.

    • This is a common misconception. Modern research has shown that blood transfusion are a big and unnecessary risk. Doctors now realize the unnecessary harm these transfusions can cause. A 2012 study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine found that Jehovah’s Witnesses who refuse blood transfusions after cardiac surgery are at no greater risk than people who had transfusions. The research also found that Witnesses who underwent bloodless surgeries spent less time in the intensive care unit and less time in the hospital when compared to patients who had transfusions. They also had a higher survival rate at 95 percent, compared to the other group at 89 percent. According to the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Bloodless Medicine and Surgery, blood-management programs also help hospitals reduce unnecessary blood draws and the costs associated with acquiring and storing blood. Experts at Englewood Hospital say bloodless surgery should be considered for any type of operation that has been traditionally associated with transfusions, including hysterectomies, breast surgeries, joint replacements, spinal surgery brain surgery and heart surgery. Jehovah’s Witnesses want the best medical care for their children and so they take the time to do research and find the best doctors and treatment available for their children instead of just taking the first option offered.

    • That’s not true!!!! My son had open heart surgery in 2005… at that time the Drs had also recommended me to abort him because he had signs of Down syndrome. I dint abort, or consent to blood transitions but I did work with doctors to help him with alternatives, which they did. If you need proof I can send you a picture of his scar . He is so healthy and with no side effects from problems with blood transfusions…. Also he does not have Down Syndrome. So to answer your question from a mother that has seen it and lived it… Doctors and humans only know so much. The Creator, Jehovah God, who knows more than any doctor and intellectual … tells us to to take Blood… He has the right to. You didn’t create yourself, therefore you don’t have any right to Even claim you can violate or twist His ways. Like I said… I have proof and if you want pictures… I can show them.

  12. The watchtower and tract society destroys lives and families. Be careful, there is a lot they don’t tell when knocking on your door.

    • May God forgive you because you don’t know what you are saying. Why was Jesus killed? Why were the pharisees not killed? The world in Jesus’s day hated him because, he taught the truth about God. He exposed the lies and hypocrisy of the pharisees for what the were. John 15:17-21 say:

17 “These things I command YOU, that YOU love one another. 18 If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. 19 If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU. 20 Bear in mind the word I said to YOU, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also. 21 But they will do all these things against YOU on account of my name, because they do not know him that sent me.”
I hope this will help you know why Jehovah’s Witnesses suffer persecution! All you need to do is to read your Bible every day and pray for God to help you know the truth. Jesus said at John 8:32 that “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” Please, search for the truth. Even Jesus was persecuted by no other people than the RELIGIOUS LEADERS of his day.

    • Destroy? How can you say? We have the best life ever. Blessings of keeping moral cleanness, healthy lifestyle, positive views, real joy of helping others, bounty of spiritual satisfying education and more to the list. What other organization on earth can provide these kind of life?

      • Many people on this earth live with these same blessings in their lives and also have the freedom to talk to their friends and loved ones that have differing beliefs. They don’t have to shun them and treat them as if they are dead. It is an amazing concept really. Freedom through the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

      • That is banned now in Russia too. Maybe people should setup a VPN account so they can get to that website. That way they to can be brainwashed into a cult that teaches their members to reject the blood and flesh of Christ. If you don’t understand what I am referring to, just attend a memorial of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. I am sure they will show you how it is done.

  13. A preview of what’s to come. Soon the world will get rid of all religion, after Jehovah puts it in their hearts. Stand still and hold your heads erect, for then the Great Tribulation, leading to Armageddon!

    • The book of Revelations does indicate this. Of course, the Witnesses teach that all false religion will be destroyed first and then the governments will all turn the attention to the only true religion, Jehovah’s Witnesses. So, if the Witnesses are being destroyed first, is their prophecy wrong again, or are they a false religion?

  14. I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and I am only 13 years old. We do no harm. If Russia doesn’t let JWs worship, this will effect with the freedom of religion rule. The whole time I have been one of JWs i have received nothing but love and care from my spiritual brothers and sisters. We are only doing what Jesus was doing, preaching about God.

    • Be careful Grace. If your parents see that you are on this website talking to people expressing apostate views they won’t be happy. It may rub off on you.

  15. All this is written in the bible, that true religions will suffer during the end of the world, the leaders are becoming week , there are also going to be religious wars were governments for the powerful countries will fight the true religions.

  16. Good for you Grace!! You’re a very brave and spiritual girl, and I’m sure having Jehovah’s blessing! Stay strong little one! Jehovah, your family and the Friends are all looking out for you!! ❤️

  17. Comment:Handione chikonzero chekuti JW brothers ànd sisters varwiswe ini, oooh ok reson is that jesuż was say you cant get iñ easy into the PARADISE ,liķe the way they do to me is the way they do to yu my followers.I want to say JWs in Ŕusaia ndinogwadziwa but ndinofaraI kuva nemi pamarwadzo ,we must be stronger our JEHOVAH IS GIVING US POWER TO CONTINIOUE WHAT MATEO 24 VERSE 14 SAYS.ÑDINOKUKWAZISAI MOSE NERUDO RWAKRISTU JESU

  18. The organisation has a brochure about blood .I ‘d encourage every body to read it . The Bible bans the use of blood . The organisation do it best to encourage every body to use all type of alternative possible .Jehovah’s witness is the most peaceful , loving , greatest organisation in the world .I just cant understand why they want to attack these peaceful people , where is this system going ?

  19. I am a Jehovah witness in the USA. I live in a country where people have abortions killing children before they even have a chance at life. People criticize us for refusing to take blood labeling us as muderes, yet help build and support abortion clinics then give a smile a coke and comforting word to be strong after a procedure PUTING THE SUCKED OUT FETUS IN A TRASH BAG . People criticize us for refusing to pick up a gun yet our country is filled with kids taking guns to school killing countless innocent kids, tearing apart families and speaking on what a shame it is to do so and how they wish all the evil would go away. People criticize us for getting up before dawn to offer the depressed hope…the weary strength…and the dying courage.. When we could easily choose not to care , not to love and spend out early mornings laying in bed .. Yet they go to their homes verbally abusing their kids..spouses..refusing to help their own kin in time of need. People laugh at us because doors are slammed in our face and we continue to return…harsh words are shared..and we continue to smile humbly, yet the Golden Rule in America is treat others how you want to be treated.

Someone reading this has done these things, has said these things, but ask yourself what about this religion scares and offends you when you yourself have done one if nnot all the things we work hard at not doing. Do you think its easy for that 13 year old to go out and bodly proclaim love when all there is is hate, is it easy for you yourself to diet.. To break bad habits.. To not fornicate..smoke…NO BECAUSE OF FLESH…yet all these are things that kill the body… Smoking causes lung disease…pregnant mothers smoke while pregnant and birth mentally retarted kids and get a pass of sympthy..But we stand against these things… That can hurt our body..our kids body… So if people practice Vudu…roots…athiest… Alluminity… And other religions that envoke bad things on others… Which do you think should be up for ban first ….COME ON PEOPLE YOU CAN’T BE THIS BLIND!!!

  20. Beautifully said Kimberly, thank you. On another note I see frequently mentioned in the news people are comparing our letter writing campaign to protesting. A lot of violence and protesting is going on now, even in the USA. I know my family and I sent 18 letters personally, explaining personally and politely why we are thankful to know Jehovah and how he has saved or lives. How it has made us as individuals better, law obeying citizens. This should not be confused with rioting or protesting. This is a personal matter to all 8 million of us and counting and we love our brothers and sisters all across the globe in every country. We are United on every Bible based teaching. I laugh that you go to any other church or religious affiliation besides Jehovahs witnesses of course, 2 members claiming to be Christian brothers will have 2 sets of completely conflicting beliefs! Just the other day some man told me he thought the journey to heaven after death took 2 days… where did he pick that number from? Where in the Bible is that written? Yet he is marrying along telling people this false teaching and there are people believing him, accepting it as truth. You will never see this from jw’s organization. All of our answers are pulled direct from the Bible itself. We encourage Bible study. You will see members of the same church argue over elections. That never happens at our Kingdom halls. One of these days, very soon, Jehovah will make his name known to the world and no longer will the world be able to slam a door or ban him.

  21. There is a very good reason for Russia to BAN Jehovah’s Witnesses. While they are no threat as terrorists in doing physical harm, those who they persuade to join are then mentally enslaved by them.

If a member later decides that they do not want to be part of the religion, or follow the direction of “the governing body”, the men who run the organization, then all family, friends, associates who are members of Jehovah’s Witnesses are instructed to SHUN THEM. Parents, grandparents, children, sisters, the religion breaks up families. There is NO FREEDOM of mind in the religion, and while they claim and advocate for freedom of religion, to practice their religion, they do not allow freedom of religion for their own members.

If an entire family are Jehovah’s Witnesses and one leaves, then the rest will SHUN THEM FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. There are tons of print articles and examples on their own watchtower showing this.

The Watchtower 2013 Jan 1 p.16 even denies family communication by email, stating; “Do not look for excuses to associate with a disfellowshipped family member, for example, through e-mail.” Interestingly, whilst the translation into most languages is the same, the Spanish edition extends this to “email, phone or text messaging.”

Also this religion has it’s members shun higher education. They are raised that the end of the world is coming, and to instead go preaching instead of higher education. A recent video they use to teach the teens in the religion, showed the teen being complimented by her teacher and offered scholarships to great universities, and the teen being a good Jehovah’s Witness by turning that down.

My own aging parents never planned for retirement and are living in dire poverty. The religion won’t help it’s members either, telling them to ask friends and family for help, because they aren’t a charity and don’t help their own members unlike other churches and religions that help their own.

So yes, the Jehovah’s Witnesses will spin this as they are non violent, and should be free to worship how they want, and how they are being unfairly targeted, but few other so called christian religions are so damaging and after getting family’s into the religion and brainwashed, have such a control to have them shun any family members who leave and convince them if they listen to any reason why the family members leaves, it’s satan trying to trick them.

The religion needs to be forced for reformation.

    • Its not NO FREEDOM. Its a PROTECTION. They decided to stop living with Bible standards. And doing so they also knew that they decided to leave thier families. And keeping on associating with him after living not in accordance with the Bible standards can affect the family and organization. Just see other groups who not keep the moral standards by tolerating them, thier standards fare badly. We have the gift of freedom but God set the limits to protect us. Also these practice of JWs is not there own. Its a precident from the first century christians.
We are not perfect but we just try to appreciate God’s set protection. Many who live away from Bible standards now returned to living it because they realized Jehovah and thier families were not tolerating it.

      • Are you saying you have personal knowledge that each one of Jehovah’s Witnesses who is shunned decided to stop living with Bible standards?

I have personal knowledge that one of Jehovah’s Witnesses is shunned because he voiced disagreement that the Governing Body is now the Faithful and Discreet Slave right after Watch Tower Society made that teaching change to say they are. Being shunned for disagreeing with teachings which change often seems extreme.

        • Sounds like you’ve just got a case of wounded pride Enoch, or you didn’t want to do the work so you found a convenient excuse to leave without having to see yourself as a quitter. You’re not living up to your namesake. There’s still time though for you to get over yourself and get back to the meetings.

        • William, how dare you question Jehovah’s Witnesses. How dare you read the Bible and have a different understanding. I guess that means you will need to die with the rest of the people that are not JWs.

Oh, wait, maybe you read the gospel and realized that the main teaching of the Bible is that we all sin but it is washed away by our faith in Jesus ransom sacrifice. Maybe you read where Jesus said that the greatest command of all is to “love your neighbor.” I guess I missed the part where Jesus said that if someone sins and are in a weakened state that we should shun them and treat them as if they are dead.

William, thank you for standing up for the TRUTH. The JWs are EXTREMISTS and do not show the love of Christ. They have a form of Godly Devotion but prove false to it’s power.

    • I’m helping 2 elderly women myself (whom are not Jehovahs witnesses but I met them elsewhere) with a large family to support and I work 3 jobs to support then so they can minister full time. It makes me so proud to know I’m contributing to their good works. But these 2 women I help live the next town down about 30 minutes drive from where I live. They tell me nobody else will help them not even their old friends or people at their church. Jehovahs witnesses organization donates tons of time money and resources as well as volunteers when disasters strike, and we aid all people, not just Jehovahs witnesses. I could say more about the other items you wrote, but I have to go get ready for work now and wake up my children for school. I only hope that you will take the time to consider that many of your reasoning points for hating Jehovahs witnesses is unfounded. Every church on this planet is seeded with wrongness in one way or another, corrupt, Catholic church they uncovered mass Graves of dead babies where nuns and priests had hidden their conduct and murdered the babies after to cover it up. Where is your anger on that? I feel as though you grasp at straws to validate your reasons but they are empty and Jehovah sees that. I love Jesus, he is our King, but he wasn’t talking and praying to himself. There are 3 places in the king James Bible where Jehovahs name was accidentally left in when the church attempted to remove it. I challenge you to find those 3 accounts. I would not wish evil on any well meaning Christian, jw or otherwise. However I don’t fear this because I have faith in Jesus name that Jehovah will unveil his plan in due time.

      • So you are helping someone minister full time for a different religion? I commend you for that. It shows true christian love as taught by Christ. I sure do hope that your local congregation elders do not find out though. That is interfaith and is against their laws. You are supporting Babylon the Great

    • Wow!!! This goes to
      “Jehovah’s witnesses are lying”

I am one of Jehovah’s Witness and let me tell you something… I was once disfellowshipped… and let me tell you … Never did I feel that I could NOT COME BACK. Infact, it made me more yearning to come back and change my attitude and repent. You think that I was disfellowhiped for doing what’s right…? You are mistaken… it’s for my eternal life. Jehovah and his loving organization wants us to change for the better so we can gain everlasting life. I understood that … that’s why I came back within a year… Of course it wasn’t easy because I felt I let my friends and family down. But they loved me and hugged me when I was re instated. I never want to hurt Jehovahs feelings.
One more thing … ITS YOUR CHOICE … if you really want to have verlasting life and cherish your relationship with Jehovah and you repent and ask in prayer to help you… he will… and if you ask him To help you change… He will.
      Remember you are never alone.
You can always ask Jehovah to help you get up.
But if you don’t want to. That’s your choice and so you have to suffer the consequences of your bad decision.
No one will force you to change.
I have never felt so closer to Jehovah … and yes I knew he disciplined me but because he loved me and he wants me to be in Paradise. A real world… it like this one. But if you want to leave your own way and live in this zoomed system of things that’s your choice.

    • You are about the most ignorant person I have read about out of all these posts that I have read I cannot believe you you are absolutely out of your mind you know nothing you just speak nothing ignorance that’s all you are shame on you you will payopo

      • To Jehovah’s Witnesses are lying you are the most ignorant you are you are out of your mind you have no mind you have no heart and you have no intelligence you are from your father the devil and you wish to do his will you will not discourage my brothers and sisters I’m so proud of them for speaking out they tell the truth and the truth will stand to time indefinite but you will not but you will not you will fade away bye bye

    • Can i ask you why you was became shun ?
What you was doing so that Jw banned you to be member ? Was they talking with you about that or trying give you help ?
Was they reading to you about Bible what it says about that thing ?

  22. Read the prayer of Jesus for His people in John 17 and copy it to pray for our brothers in Christ.

If all people, including Jehovah’s Witnesses, would repent, turn from their sins and turn their heart fully to Jesus, then they would know the truth and the truth would set them free. (John 8:32) They would be set free from Babylon (this world/false religion). She is the tempter from Satan “the tempter” (Matt 4:9) and “father of lies” (John 8:44) who uses her to deceive the whole world. They would realize they are in Babylon and they would “get out of her” as Jesus commands, so that they do not get trapped in her punishment (Jere 51:6-9) because their eyes would be open to these basic truths:

    1) Jesus is the only true religion (the only way to worship God) and His body is the only true Temple. (Rev 21: 22,23; 1Cor 3:16; 1Cor 6:19-20; 1Cor 12:27)

    2) The Father’s name is Jesus, which the Son revealed to us when He revealed God our Father to us. “I have come in my Father’s name.” (John 5:43; John 17:6, 11, 12-26; Philip 2:9-11; Zechariah 14:9; Colossians 1:19; 2:9)

    3) “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”(Acts 4:12)

    4) We must carry only the name of the Father just as the Son does if we want to be part of the family of God. (Ephesians 3:14-15; 1Corinthians 12:12-30)

    5) We must prophesy (preach) only in the name of Jesus to bring glory to the Father through His Son, who bears His name. (Matthew 7:22)

    6) Only those who put their trust in Jesus alone, not in man, will be saved. (Psalm 146:3; Jeremiah 17:5-8; Micah 7:5-10; Amos 6:1)

    7) False apostles “have fooled you by disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. You seem to believe whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach about a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.” (2Corinthains 11:1-12 NLT)

    8) The Antichrist “will come to do the work of Satan…He will use every kind of wicked deception to fool those who are on their way to destruction because they refuse to believe the truth that would save them. So God will send great deception upon them and they will believe all these lies. Then they will be condemned for not believing the truth and for enjoying the evil they do.” (2Thess 2:9-12 NLT)

    9) These things we see happening must take place in order for prophecy to be fulfilled. The Antichrist will “tear down every object of adoration and worship…” which includes Babylon’s church buildings. (2Thess 2:1-16; Daniel 9:27; Isaiah 28 thru 31; Habakkuk 2; Revelation 17 and 18; Jeremiah and Isaiah)

    10) Believers of Jesus should stand firm. “If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.” (Isaiah 7:9) We petition God for help, not the government. (Psalm 20:7-9; Hosea 13:9-11; 7:11-15; Jere 2:18) God will save His people, not buildings. The work of preaching the Good News about Jesus and the Kingdom of God can never be stopped by humans. It will continue until God says it is done. They can ban it all they want, but we continue preaching no matter what. When the Pharisee Jews tried to stop the apostles from preaching, did it work? No. When Daniel was told not to pray, did he stop praying or do so in secret? No. They are our example. (2Cor 4:11-14; Luke 9:26; Acts 4; Acts 5:17-42; Rom 8:15-23; Daniel 6)

    • After all of that and yet you still having told me the fathers name in which Jesus is bearing? If it’s not as important to know Gods name then why is it even written in the bible? Do you your self not think that Gods name is hast as of if not more important the Jesus name? How home in the model prayer Jesus says ” hollow be thy name” or let your name be sanctified”? ….i just don’t understand why you never brought that up I mean ultimately who sent Jesus? Why was Jesus sent? And why is he called the son of his? Oh and when Jesus was dying why did he say ” father why have you forsaken me”? Was he talking to himself? Or was he talking to HIS FATHER ? So what is his Fathers name ? PSLM 83:18 IN MY OLD KING JAMES BIBLE says it’s Jehovah? Why has that Ben taken out …i mean is that not important to know? Apparently God thought so but man kind now days don’t believe it’s neccesary..thats like going to war for a long or President and you not even knowing his name. Well I know his name isn’t God because that is a title not a name. Just like your mom is your mom but get name is her name…unless she never told you and in that case you and your mom must not have a good relationship …..then how can you and your God have a good relationship if you only know his sons name and not his own??? Which by the way is Jehovah!

  23. Even though I dn`t wrote any letters for the Russian governments officials but then prayers in behalf of our God Jah is stronger to help brothers and sisters from Russia in order to win the case of religious freedom as human rights. Prayers,Trust and Lean upon our creator Jehovah will intervene the problems in order to continue serving Him and maintain peace, unity, love, neutrality, moral conduct, and many more Bible principles that promotes peace and unity through out the world in order to help governments to teach people in every corner of the world. So Jehovah`s Witnesses are not Extremist regarding publications but to teach people on how to love their neighbors.

  24. What a human being does to his /her brother shall apply on him\her. Jehovah is the creator and he sees in all corners of the world. We shall only wait to hear for any out come having in mind that Jehovah is the most high judge.

  25. Well lets not be judgemental. Jehovah’s Witnessess are really good people. Learn to respect others religion before you talk about it. I’m a Jehovah Witness.

  26. The only thing that scares me about Jehovah is the willingness to die because they do not want to receive blood transfusions. That is crazy. My husband is Jehovah and that is the only thing that is nuts that he believes in. Other then that he does not push me into belief because he is not like that. Some beliefs of theirs is a little scary.

    • Assuming your story is true, then you should ask your husband to explain the much safer (and less expensive) alternatives to blood transfusions that have been in use for decades, and were developed for Jehovah’s Witnesses because they love life.

  27. Comment:JW’ are known all over the globe as peace loving people rather than being extremists. I personally wonder if the Russian Officials fully comprehend what extremism is all about or they are playing games by being bias to Jehovah’s people. It is pertinent to note that JWs in Russia are law abiding Citizens who always promote peace and sanity through out the Federation of Russia via their Bible based preaching activities. They do not participate in wars and violent protest because they do not want to be blood guilt. Victimising peace crusaders in Russia means bargaining for Jehovah’s wrath. Pharaoh of Egypt in the time past refused to allow God’s people to go and worship him and he eventually lost the battle. King of Assyria- Sennichar equally lost the battle and who else will not lose the battle stopping Jehovah’s people to worship him? I heard the voice saying behind ” let my people be, so that they may render sacred service to me in Russia in order to avoid Jehovah’s wrath. With due respect to Russian Authorities , I hereby appeal to the Authority concerned to drop all false charges against JW’ because they lack merit and also to restore their due freedom of Religion and its Legal Entity. Seth.

“Listen! Fear the Lord if you are wise. His voice is calling out to everyone….The armies of destruction are coming; the Lord is sending them…” (Micah 6:9-14 NLT) “For I am with you and I will save you… But I must discipline you; I cannot let you go unpunished…For your sins are many and your guilt is great.” (Jer 30:10-14)

The Lord is sending great tribulations to earth to warn us to “repent, turn from our sins and turn our hearts fully to God” through faith in Jesus so that we can escape “the flames of judgment” (Jude 1:23; 2Peter 3; Matt 25:31-46) and be counted “worthy of the Kingdom of God.” (2Thess 1:5) These worldwide events, foretold long ago (read Isaiah and Jeremiah) began with God’s disobedient people in ancient Israel and Judah and will end with ‘this generation’ (Luke 21:32-33) to serve a two-fold purpose, thereby completing the fulfillment of God’s words. God first allows Babylon to tempt us (Jere 51:6-7; Matt 4:3) to show us why we must obey, trust and depend only on His Son, Jesus (not Babylon’s religious, political and business leaders or ourselves) in order to “wash the moral filth” from His people so that His tree, that He turned into a stump, will be a holy seed that will grow again. (Isa 5-6:13; Hos 7:11-16; 13:9-11) Finally, God will use His ally Cyrus (now Jesus Christ) “to put an end to the empire of Babylon; destroying the Babylonian armies” (Assyria) for murdering, oppressing, misleading and corrupting His people. (Rev 17-18; Hosea 4; Jer 51)

So, these great tribulations described in Luke and Revelation, are intended to accomplish three things: correct our behavior (cleanse us); refine our hearts; and make sure we are pure by testing our faith (dependence) in Jesus alone. (Psa 146:3-10) “Many will be cleansed, refined and purified by these trials but the wicked will keep acting wickedly and they will not understand but the righteous will understand.” (Daniel 12:10; 11:35)

Jesus Christ will use His enemies as a tool to discipline (cleanse/correct) His people for their sins of idolatry (pride; materialism; racism; nationalism; pagan holiday celebration, people worship, devil worship, etc) and rebellion against His Father, the Almighty God. This will also serve as His refining fire “the furnace of suffering” (Isaiah 48:9-11) to bring out the impurities within our hearts and minds (selfishness which leads to every sin and evil) that bubble up from the heat so that He can skim that scum off (when we repent from it) and bring our consciences to a pure state. (Isa 1:25; Psalm 119:119; Heb 9:14; Isa 60:1-3 NLT) And finally, He will make sure we are pure by “testing our faith, to show that it is strong and pure. . .as fire tests and purifies gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.” (1Peter 1:7 NLT) “All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.” (2Thess 1:5) Then you will be brought to God’s eternal glory as His pure and holy children (His sparkling jewels in the earth) just like His Son, Jesus to live with them forever in the Kingdom (Paradise on Earth) where “nothing will hurt or destroy in all God’s holy mountain.” (Isa 11:6-10; Malachi 3:17-18; Zechariah 9:16-17; Philippians 1:6)

So, we must repent with “tears, sorrow and deep grief” for all the wrong things we have done, love our God, love our neighbor, forgive our enemies, and “humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand” as we are told, and when Jesus returns “He will lift us up and give us honor.” (Matt 22:36-40; James 4:7-10 1Thess 4:16-17) “Pride is before a crash”. . .“but humility comes before honor.” (Prov 16:18; 18:12) “For the Lord corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom He delights.” (Prov 3:12) “I am the One who corrects and disciplines everyone I love. Be diligent and turn from your indifference.” (Rev 3:19 NLT)

“Destruction is certain for Assyria,” (Syria) “the whip of My anger. Its military power is the club in My hand. Assyria will enslave My people, who are a godless nation. It will plunder them, trampling them like dirt beneath its feet. But the king of Assyria will not know that it is I who sent him. He will merely think he is attacking My people as part of his plan to conquer the world…After the Lord has used the king of Assyria” (possibly the Antichrist who is/will be ruling in the background as one of the ‘10 kings’ that will rise from among the UN controlled ‘10 Assyrian nations’ forming globally as the ‘10 horns’ meaning battle. . .this ‘little horn’ will become the 8th king, Satan’s Babylonian world ruler, aka the beast/Antichrist…the UN is now ‘Assyria’, the 7th king who will reign briefly as God’s instrument, see Rev 17:11-18; Dan 7:8, 11, 21-25; Dan 8:9; Isa 14:25; Ezek 28; Acts 21:3; Isa 30:33)…“to accomplish His purpose in Jerusalem”… (the future center of spiritual Babylon and kingdom/throne of the Antichrist, see 2Thess 2:4; Daniel 9:25-27; Rev 11:1-13; 16:10, 19; Micah 1:5) …“He will turn against the king of Assyria and punish him – for he is proud and arrogant. . .Can the ax boast greater power than the person who uses it?. . .Then at last those left in Israel”…(now Christians; see Rom 11; Rev 7:9-17) “and Judah”… (now 144,000 Kingdom rulers from all 12 tribes, see Rev 7:4-8; Rev 20:4-6)…”will trust the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. They will no longer depend on the Assyrians, who would destroy them. A remnant of them will return to the Mighty God…So this is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says: ‘My people in Jerusalem, do not be afraid of the Assyrians when they oppress you just as the Egyptians did long ago. It will not last very long. In a little while My anger against you will end, and then My anger will rise up to destroy them.” (Isa 10:5-25 NLT) (Jere 30:6-24; Ezek 14: 12-23)

This discipline is God’s ‘diluted’ anger (with mercy) to save those He loves from hellfire. (Lam 3:22-66; Matt 5:22) “He who hates correction is stupid.” (Prov 12:1; 15:10; Isa 45:9-13) The more stubborn we are, the harder Jesus will pound us. (Lev 26:14-26; Rev 6-18) The more submissive (meekly obedient) we are, the more relief (comfort; protection; pain relief) Jesus will give us through the Holy Spirit so that we can faithfully endure anything God calls us to and not be afraid. (Psa 145:14-21; Rev 13:10; Jere 15:2; 24;5-10; Isa 28:22-29) For “God is faithful and He will not let you be tempted” (suffer) “beyond what you can bear, but along with the temptation He will also make the way out in order for you to be able to endure it.” (1Cor 10:13) But for those who refuse to repent and give God glory (Rev 9:21), His wrath will be poured out by Jesus ‘full strength’ (without mercy) when He returns at the end of the world as King of God’s Kingdom. (Rev 16; 16:9-11) At that time, the door to God’s mercy will be shut forever on the unrepentant and they will finally be thrown into the lake of fire in Hell where they will be forced to repent with “weeping and gnashing of teeth,” bow to Jesus and confess allegiance to God! (Luke 13:25-28; Rom 14:11; Matt 13:40-43; Rev 21:8) For they “must drink the wine of God’s wrath. It is poured out undiluted into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. For the smoke of their torment rises forever and ever, and they will have no relief day or night. ” (Rev 14:10-11)

“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him and to our God, for He will freely pardon.” (Isaiah 55:6-7 NLT)

(Scriptures quoted in whole or in part from New Living Translation / King James Version / New International Version. Study to show yourself approved. 2Timothy 2:15; Acts 17:11.)

    • Sorry i must correct you but Syria and Assyria are totally different countries very far from each . In Bible also tells about them as two differnt countries .

So only puting them together to make your false ” prophecy ” sound in your ears right and try to lead people believe is totally against that what God self say is wrong .

Jesus was also warning about that .

Be careful when you treat Gods word wrong only so that it fit your own purposes you are in reality going to war against God who dont like that you miss use His words 🙁

  29. Comment:If people who refuse to bear up arms and kill other human beings are terrorists, what name do you call people who throw stones at their neighbours when they are worshipping only because how they understand bible differs from them? An answer please! – Crossy Chimukoro

  30. At out meetings and gathering we don’t have any force since we are friendly and loving. we preach a message of hope. we don’t fight war. we respect governmental authorities.

in what can we now say Jehovah’s witnesses are extremist?

we love people. we help people to be happy.

As our name depict, we are witnesses of Jehovah(Jehovah is Gods name), if they say we are “extremist” what about the God that we are witnessing about.

Let this be clear, we are not “extremist” as claimed so we appeal that the legal action be nullified

  31. It has come to my attention that your government is considering banishing a group of people who call themselves Jehovah’s Witnesses. I am a member of their religious community, being a full time minister. Our goal is to encourage others to read their bibles and to see the benefits of applying the standards a true Christian should live by. These standards have changed my life and I have been compelled to share what has helped me with others. You would have to agree that human society has seen an alarming decline in recent years. We see a number of problems that have made it harder for all governments to take care of their citizens needs. They include:
A divorce rate that is over 50%
Drug abuse permeating all segments of the population
Sexually transmitted diseases increasing, along with the costs to treat them
Increasing crime, resulting in crowded prisons

These are only a few problems governments across the world are facing. Wouldn’t you agree that if we could help those who have these problems in their life, overall conditions in your country would improve? Think of the financial savings if just some of the single mothers on government assistance were still married to husbands who loved them and contributed to the care of their family? Or drug addicts motivated to stay clean without relapsing? Or the crime rate to drop? Would not your country be better off? Wouldn’t you like to have an ally in confronting these crippling expensive problems who at no cost at all are willing and able to help? This can be done by helping such ones apply Bible principles in their own lives.
Well my friend, I believe that you would be shooting yourself in the foot by banishing the witnesses. This has been their goal for over a hundred years, to move those interested by their own free will decide to look at the standards the Bible teaches. As they build a relationship with their creator they change their lives for the better. Our publications have documented cases of ones who have done just that. To see for yourself, go to our website (JW.Org) and do a search The Bible changes lives.
Doing so I truly hope that you will change your mind and embrace your ally in helping your government improve. Please support these law abiding peaceful citizens, your local Jehovah’s Witnesses.

  32. Who did black people pray to before slavery. Why do you have to fill out time sheets to keep account of how much service you gave to God monthly? If God gave us free will why do you all think he’s a dictator? Why does the founder of the religion have a crown with a cross on his pyramid tombstone? Why are some of the scriptures removed and changed in the New worlds translation. Why do you all think God made groups. I don’t know everything but I don’t believe he made religion or groups or told anybody to tell us how to live. The Bible is your basis but somebody wrote it and said he was inspired by God. I was inspired by God to say I will have a dream and write a book and I will have followers and predict false end dates. Why do you think God is so stupid that he has to test us? Why do you think there will be an end of the world? If it’s been here millions of years before religion do your research it will be here before and after us. And I will am not a jehovah witness I don’t believe in religion.

    • You raise some good questions. If you are truly interested in knowing then you can go to any of your local kingdom hall’s and any one of Jehovah’s witnesses would be more then happy to do the research for you and answer your questions ..but first I would like to let you know that we did not sit down one day and decide that we were going to call our selves jehhovahs witnesses. The name was actually adopted to us because we would go door to door and preach God’s name which is Jehovah. And as far as scripture being removed I can assure you and book or letters that are in your American standard or king James bible are indeed in The new world translation. We used to actually teach out of the king James version back in the day but then the king James version took out Jehovah and Yahweh and replaced it with the title LORD….i wonder why they did that??? Anyways as far as the time goes we keep record of things like that because we preach in all countries around the world so in order to know were we need to send missionarys or were ever help is needed in the ministry around the world …because of time is low then the odds are that there isn’t enough brothers and sisters preaching in that area so we will sometimes send help …then once a year we have a convention it’s huge it’s like a big get to gather full of 10s of thousands of people …you and anyone else can come if you want it’s free. It’s like e days but you don’t have to stay all 3 days it’s yup to you
But at those convention sometimes they will break down the time and how many people have dedicated there live to God so it’s kind of encouraging plus there is nothing wrong with keeping record …matter of fact the whole bible is one big record…and last but not least yes Jehovah gave you and I the freedom to makes our own choices …you see nobody held a gun to my head and told me to become a witness or it was the opposite I used to be addicted to drugs and alcohol ..i used to fight and steal until a man took the time out to teach me that I am better then that and that even tho at the time life was very hard that Jehovah still cared…you wanna know how I know he cared..? Well you read this far so I’ll tell you …because he sent that man when my life was at its worst and because of that my life is so much better I’m no longer addicted to drugs alcohol or even smoke cigs. I don’t steal or fight anymore married and run a successful business and have Ben serving Jehovah for 7 years almost and you know what…i can choose to stop anytime and go back to my old life ….but between you and i….i don’t want to ..and that is my choice.

  33. Everything you all are saying is part of life. With all the doom and gloom and scriptural basis there’s been war single mothers divorce crime and corruption since first documented. It takes a lot of reiterating to indoctrinate beliefs into sheeple I am a free thinker. If I don’t want to join the crowd I won’t. If I die questioning religion at least I have my own thoughts to blame if God blames me for my intelligence. I am not ignorant and I do not hate God because I have a thirst for knowledge. I just don’t have enough proof that this is what God wants. For us to be in organizations and groups. I understand the reason they are being labeled extremists. I When people are being told this is what God wants and families are being divided the government wants to take a look at it.

    • Russian leaders are using the “extremist” label because JWs won’t join their military. The irony here is that JWs are neutral worldwide, and the majority of these don’t live in Russia. Isn’t a country better off militarily if there’s more people who refuse to fight against them, than they could ever force to fight for them? To paint neutrality as extremism seems like logic akin to ‘shooting oneself in the foot’. If everyone took the peaceful stance of JWs, there wouldn’t be any more wars or need for military service.

  34. Christianity was given to the black slaves as coercion into submission. How do you all believe the same God the slave owners praised was okay with them raping beating and murdering people who they oppressed for hundreds of years. I refuse to believe in religion. If you put a thousand scriptures up it still doesn’t erase slavery and the fact that Jim Crow was a traveling advocate of Willie Lynchs method to teach blacks about Christianity and fool them into thinking they will be saved if they act right and not run away. And beat them to death if they don’t want to adhere to the Christian faith. Please do your research people this is deeper than you throwing a few passages up that you have been told.

    • I understand what you are saying but what does that have to do with several of the brothers and sisters that were never in slavery and chose to become a Christian??? We have brothers and sisters from all over the world and we are all different races so what does slavery have to do with that….the world is much bigger the the USA . With that said why do you keep bringing slavery in to a discussion about Jehovah’s witness being persecuted and threatened to be imprisoned for years for worshiping there God??

    • Niokie: You’re talking about events that happened hundreds of years ago, perpetrated by selfish opportunists who claimed the authority of God to tear apart the lives of helpless innocents for their own gain.
This event is affecting more than 170,000 men women and children in Russia, right now. A decision against the Witnesses will result in countless arrests, mob violence and jail time for tens of thousands of people who are also innocents. Russian prisons are not places of rehabilitation, they are brutal by any countries standards.
You’re heart bleeds for people in the past you’ve never met, but you don’t seem at all bothered by what will happen to the Witness families in Russia, right now, when the children are taken from their parents as their parents get arrested and beaten, likely by people who also claim to have God’s approval.
Liars and frauds come in all flavours, religious people are no exception. But if you can’t recognize the difference between people who want to follow God, and people who just want to use God for their own profit you’re narrow-minded. I’m not religious either but that doesn’t mean I don’t care what will happen to these people. You seem like you could care less what happens to them, because they are religious, and they deserve to pay for what happened hundreds of years ago to all those people you never met.
      Your self-righteousness makes me sick.

  35. The Extremist law stems from the need to control groups they don’t agree with. When used in the right way and for the right reasons it can protect the innocent. Notice the quote below

“The extremism law is used against groups directly connected to violence, such as militant Islamic groups in the north Caucasus and neo-nazis. Its prosecution of religious minorities raises a lot of concerns. The Russian Orthodox Church denies that state authorities are acting on its behalf by cracking down on the competition, but Church spokesman Vsevolod Chaplin says that Jehovah’s Witnesses should be prevented from using inflammatory language, like calling the Russian Orthodox Church a false church.” “”Some of the texts which they disseminate hurt the Orthodox Christians,” Chaplin says. “Sometimes they use toward us very impolite phrases which I can easily call extremist.”

The US Council on International Religious Freedom says the situation in Russia is “deteriorating” as the government increasingly uses the extremism law against peaceful religious groups and individuals. Five years ago, the law dropped the requirement for the use or threat of violence. And starting next year, participating in a “banned group” will be punishable by three years in prison.”

  36. The church didn’t like being called false yet we are called extremist or a “cult” or if you are one of Jehovah’s witness you have Ben called much worse at the door I know I have.

  37. Comment:We all know Jehovahthei’s witnesses organization as a peaceful, law abiding and nonviolence organization throughout the whole world. Then why the threat on them? Why not leave this people let them go ahead with their life saving activities, they love their neighbours, abide the laws of government that is not against the Bible principles, they do not engage theirselves in any type of violence in the society today. I know them by knocking on the doors of their neighbors to share touching promises from our creator in the Bible, that has turned many lives today from evil to good. I don’t see anything bad in this people,if the world today is filled with only Jehovah’s witnesses won’t it be a better place for all of us? To show you how good this people are, they are the only people that makes use of the truth in their day to day lives, they are the one everybody believes that if they see your high cost belongings you will have the hope of getting it back even your money, despite how much it is. Oh if i keep listing the qualities of this particular people i don’t think this place will contain it. But hear me Russia authorities please and please leave the witnesses let them serve their faithful God(Luke 4:8) Then if you want to go ahead persecuting them, there is no problem but bear it in your mind that it’s not the witnesses you are persecuting, rather you are persecuting the maker of the whole universe Jehovah. Ask about those who have done it before you how they are today. So stay clear from the witnesses!

  38. The watchtower and tract society is a belief that Jesus only died for annoited Christians that can only be understood by the faithful and discret slave. The good news is though your works and obedience to seven men in Brooklyn new York you can be saved from the impending Armageddon.

I really hope you non witnesses have noticed the doomsday talk here with some of the posters. They are literally foaming at the mouth thinking of the deaths of all you worldly people. Go to your local kingdom hall. You will get one of three talks.

    1. Ex members are really bad
    2. All other Christians are really controlled by Satan. All governments are controlled by Satan.
    3. Thank you jehovah God for giving us our human leaders so we can understand your word. Oh holy governing body. Thank you Jesus for returning invisibly in 1914. Please don’t research the history of the organization.

Sound like a cult yet? Wolves in sheep’s clothing.

    • @…? (no name)

If you have nothing good to say to your fellow, it is better to keep quite because your words might be used against you.

“The watchtower and tract society is a belief that Jesus only died for annoited Christians that can only be understood by the faithful and discret slave. The good news is though your works and obedience to seven men in Brooklyn new York you can be saved from the impending Armageddon.”
      — Lack of discernment and knowledge. You do not know what you are talking about. Please check our website. You can read first hand information about our beliefs. No secret.

      1. Ex members are really bad
      — Why do you say that ex members are bad? Are you an ex member? It seems you were misinformed and know nothing about the Bible principle on how to treat individuals who were disfellowshipped in Christian congregations.

      2. All other Christians are really controlled by Satan. All governments are controlled by Satan.
      — Do you really know the Bible text that the “whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one”? If you do not believe in the Bible then do not insist your belief. Jehovah’s Witnesses respect all aspect of faith whether you are believers or not.

      3. Thank you jehovah God for giving us our human leaders so we can understand your word. Oh holy governing body. Thank you Jesus for returning invisibly in 1914.
      — What do you know about the Governing Body?

“Please don’t research the history of the organization.”
      — What kind of comment is this? Are you afraid to know the truth about the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

“Sound like a cult yet? Wolves in sheep’s clothing.”
      — Baseless and unfounded. I can also say that other religions are “cult” and “wolves in sheep’s clothing” but we do not do that because the Bible taught us to respect our neighbor and love even our enemy. Is that a cult?

  39. Is there any salvation outside of jehovah organization? LOL

Has God not handpicked seven men in Brooklyn new York to speak though?

Keep worshipping that golden calf. You offer people nothing but death.

    • @…
It’s meaningless to answer your questions. IT IS A WAIST OF TIME. You do not even answer my questions straight. Thank you for a non-sense conversation.

  40. I am a Jehovah witness not by force but willing. not because my parents are but because I have found basis to be one.

we don’t have to debate much on the legal action taken by the Russian authorities, time will tell and everyone will know that we are worshiping a living God.

  41. The Governing Body is the Harlot/false prophet of Revelation. Soon this Harlot will be “disfellowshiped” by the organization, Wild Beast. Rev 17:15-17 She, who authorizes an elder body to judge others inside and outside the organization (as being completely destroyed in Armageddon) will be judged for her sins that have reached up to heaven, “and God has remembered her iniquities”. Rev 18:4-8; 2:20

“This is your lot, the portion I have measured out to you, declares the Lord, because you have forgotten me and trusted in lies. I myself will lift up your skirts over your face, and your shame will be seen.” Jer 13:25,26

Pedophilia within the elder body is rampant, disfellowshiping God’s anointed ones and brethren for not accepting her lies is “bloodshed” that she is guilty of. John 16:2; Rev 13:11-18;18:24 Jehovah’s Witnesses are not persecuted for their “testimony to Jesus”, only those who leave to follow Christ as the Father admonishes, are persecuted by losing their “lives” as JWs and gaining life in Christ. Matt 17:5; Rev 3:20; Rev 12:11; 13:15; Luke 12:49-53; Matt 16:25; John 5:40 These ones are persecuted “for righteousness sake”, not for identifying with an organization that robs God of one’s whole devotion. Matt 5:10,11; Mark 12:29-31; Matt 6:24

JWs, you follow and “image” of salvation, a false god, a false “spiritual paradise” that will bring destruction. Isa 40:25; 46:5 Nothing can be equated with the Almighty God that men have built. Deut 5:8-10
“For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.” 1 Thess 5:3

  42. @christsdisciple

“Offspring of vipers, how can you speak good things when you are wicked? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Matthew 12:34

    • Yes, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks:

      “Come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation” – Watchtower 1981 November 15 p.212
John 14:6,7 – Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
Acts 4:11,12 “This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN given among men by which we must be saved.”

Wt 13 11/15 pp. 16-20 – “At that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.”
“For the time will come when they will not endure SOUND DOCTRINE, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” 2 Tim 4:3,4

kr chap. 4 pp. 39-48 “Faithful early Bible Students viewed the ransom arrangement as the Bible’s main teaching. That explains why the Watch Tower often focused on Jesus. For example, in its first year of publication, the magazine mentioned the name Jesus ten times more than the name Jehovah. Regarding the Bible Students’ early years, The Watchtower of March 15, 1976, noted that they gave “overbalanced importance” to Jesus. In time, though, Jehovah helped them to discern the prominence that the Bible gives to God’s personal name. How did that affect the Bible Students? Especially from 1919 onward, says the same Watchtower article, “they began showing more appreciation for Messiah’s heavenly Father, Jehovah.” In fact, during the decade following 1919, The Watch Tower mentioned God’s name over 6,500 times!”

“and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Rev 22:19

“But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches ANOTHER JESUS whom we have not preached, or if you receive a DIFFERENT SPIRIT which you have not received, or a DIFFERENT GOSPEL which you have not accepted—YOU MAY WELL PUT UP WITH IT!” 2 Cor 11:3,4

      • If Jesus is Almighty God, who was he praying to so earnestly the night before he was killed? Himself?
How is it that in Acts 7:55, 56 Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at God’s right hand? He saw two separate people, not one.
The trinity doctrine makes no sense and isn’t supported by the Bible record of true worship. It’s a false doctrine based of pagan beliefs dating all the way back to the ancient Babylon of Nimrod’s day. There is a trinity figure featured in the majority of religions Earth-wide, all of which can also be traced back to the same origin. The Israelites were warned not to worship multiple Gods and were under no delusion who God was:
“You, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” Psalm 83:18.
Or whether he was an individual and not a duality or trinity:
“Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.” Deuteronomy 6:4.
Jesus constantly highlighted the importance of directing worship toward his Father, not himself. Jesus even summed it up when he detailed the key to attaining everlasting life in the Kingdom:
“This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” John 17:3.
There are many scriptures that point to the fact that Jehovah and Jesus are separate entities who work closely together, but aren’t the same person. On the contrary, to believe in the trinity you need to ignore those scriptures and twist a small handful of scriptures to suit your established beliefs, on top of ignoring secular history that confirms it’s pagan origins.

  43. We do respect the Russian government and with due respect we ask for their lenience in judging Jehovah’s people wrongly, otherwise Jehovah’s witnesses are piece lovers.

  44. Brothers and Sisters I would caution you Faithful servants of Jehovah from being drawn into conversation with apostates. Clearly that’s what some that are Commenting negatively about Jehovah are.. Remember what Jehovah has done personally for you and your family and what he has done for the right hearted ones you have taught to apply the fruitage of the spirit. If they can not grasp that obedience to there sovereign creator Jehovah is necessary then they have taken their side with the god of this System of things. The Devil and his sons are tricky and powerful. All they must do is copy and paste myriads of apostate info in these forums. There goal is not to help anyone but to stumble just one . Just my 2 cents but I would refrain from arguing with any of them. Trying to help is one thing but once they identify themselves as apostates. I would refrain from discussion with them. Ephesians 5:3-11

  45. I think many are getting angry and losing the point. All religions have their beliefs edge in their hearts wether is based on doctrine or Bible. When a government takes away your freedom to worship is dangerous for all religions not just Jehovah’s witnesses. Who is to say that a Catholics will become an extremist because they eat the body of Christ with a wafer or that Pentecostal are extremist because they trash believing God’s spirit enter their body. Jehovah’s witnesses strive to live by Bible teaching because his word is perfect. With time God’s word becomes clearer adjustments are made and we move on. Secular education becomes clearer also, at one time people believed the the world was flat should I continue to believe that? Man is imperfect and we don’t always get it right but once a scripture becomes clearer we make the adjustments and move on. I believe God will set us straight if we get it wrong the first time. People always focus on a particular teaching of Jehovah’s witnesses and neglect to see the good they do. They are law abiding citizens who love learning about God and teach others to do the same. Just like Jesus disciples did in the first century. No one can force you to talk to them you do it of you own free will. Imagine someone taking your free will away. Freedom of speech…Freedom of using technology…Freedom of religion. This is about freedom of being able to gather together to socialize and worship God peacefully. Is the government doing a disfellowshipping on religion? Separating at all cost. Please see the bigger picture this is about freedom of religion and how it affects everyone’s freedom.

  46. I hereby appeal to the President of the Russian Federation, President PUTIN to do all within his Power and Authority to discourage an atmosphere of hate and Persecution against the Most Innocent and peaceful Christians in the World, known as Jehovah’s Witnesses.

We, across the World have for so long been saddened by various Court cases against these Harmless and Peace loving people. Although we are not very surprised that the Apostate Religious system are the instigators of these Court Cases against the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In 1960, a one time President of Nigeria Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe once said, that if all Religions in this World were like Jehovah’s Witnesses, there would be no war in this World. He further stated that if Religions were like Jehovah’s Witnesses, there would have been no need of people locking their doors at night for fear of Armed Robbery or Violence. He concluded that there would not have been any fear of anyone knocking at doors at night or day, for whoever comes to the door will no doubt be regarded not as an enemy but a friend or brother.

During the Nigerian Civil, otherwise known as the Nigerian/Biafra War, the only Religious Group that did not participate in carrying Arms to kill his or her fellow man was Jehovah’s Witnesses. During that War, many Jehovah’s Witnesses were killed and made Homeless because of their Christian neutrality.

During the 2nd World War, the Jehovahs Witnesses were also victims of the Holocaust. Thousands of them were transported and sent to the Concentration camps of the Nazis. What were their crime. It was simply that they refused to carry arms to fight against the Allied forces. They were simply obeying their God given injunction not wage war against their fellow humans and could be seen in Biblical command recorded in the Book of Isaiah 2 : Verse 4.

World Jehovah’s Witnesses be classified or regarded as EXTREMISTS or TERRORISTS. Extremits are people who want to change a political system through a revolution or violence. The Extremists are always linked to quarrels, violent confrontations, fighting or murder. Extremits are never peaceful in their approach for a change of system or Government.

When the founder of Christianity was on our Planet Earth, the Jews did initially welcome him, with the great expectation that he has come to help fight the Roman occupation at that time, but he declined to help them saying that his Kingdom was not of this World. His refusal to accept their invitation to help them was not taken very lightly by the Jews at that time. This led to their doubting if he was the true messiah that was supposed to come. Hence he because a victim of Persecution and did also say to his fellowers that they will be persecuted just as he was persecuted.

Jesus further told his fellowers that the World no doubt will persecute his fellowers and this could sometime end up in some of them being imprisoned or murdered, John 15: 18-20 and John 16:33.

Will Jehovahs witnesses be afraid of the Persecution from the Rulers of this World? The answer is categorically NO. The Bible says that no Authority, Angels, or Humans can separate Jehovahs Witnesses from the love of the Christ. Romans 8: 38 and 39.

We therefore appeal to Putin and the Judges of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation to please do their utmost to look into the case of these Innocent Jehovah’s Witnesses and allow freedom of World to take place and not provoke the wrath of the true God Jehovah.

Hitler tried his best to suppress the these Harmless, true and defenseless, honest Christians but failed.

We do hope that the President of the Russian will no doubt respect freedom of True speech and freedom of Religion. Jehovah’s people have greatly helped in making sure that people to talk respect the authorities. They are not revolutionaries or Extremists, as they are wrongly portrayed by some people in the World.

    • I agree wholeheartedly that freedom of religion is a basic human right. Do I agree with Russia on this matter? I do not agree if they are removing the right of freedom of religion. But this issue may not be black and white. One person’s rights do not trump another person’s rights. That is why governments take special care to protect children since their voices are seldom heard and their rights so easily trampled. Another human right is the right to assemble with and associate with who they choose.

Do the Witnesses violate the rights of others?

If an organization influences parents to not report child abuse to the police, then they are trampling on the rights of children. If they influence parents to withhold a life saving blood transfusion or the use of a blood component that is not one of the ones that the organization has approved, that is trampling on the rights of children. If they tell members to not associate with their own family members or else they too will be disfellowshipped, they are trampling on the right to freely assemble and associate.

The Russian government received complaints from its citizens on these matters. They investigated and found that these complaints were valid. They then informed the Witnesses that EXTREMIST teachings and the enforcement of EXTREMIST rules would not be tolerated because it was trampling the rights of Russia’s citizens. They gave the Witnesses time to make changes. The Witnesses used “Theocratic Warfare” tactics, to lie to the authorities and tell them that they did not enforce EXTREMIST rules. The Russian government then raided the Witness complex in Russia and found documented proof that they were violating Russian law and had lied about making changes. The case was brought before the Supreme Court with both physical evidence and testimony from those that had their rights trampled upon by the Witnesses. Instead of offering physical evidence and testimony to disprove these claims, they argued that the testimonies of ex-JWs were prepared ahead of the court proceeding.

So my question is, did Russia ban a religion and violate basic human rights, or did they stand up for basic human rights and ban a criminal organization that abuses both its own members and those who choose to leave?

  47. May I use this opportunity to also appeal to the entire World of Mankind to appeal to the President of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation to respect Freedom of Worship and freedom of free speech to thrive in Russia.

The banning of the Religious activities of Jehovah’s Witnesses will not solve the Problem of the Russian Federation. Instead it may make matters worse.

At the moment, many citizens of the Russian Federation have started to embrace true Christianity and they have started to learn that they Authorities must be respected. since God has allowed them to be in that position. Even though has given them the permission to be rulers does not mean that they will wrongly accusing innocent, harmless, defenseless people as extremists. Emmanuel.

  48. If Russia labels peace loving citizens, who assist in humanitarian services, who obey d laws of every land they wish, who teach their neighbors to avoid stealing, pay taxes and be good citizens, who assist in teaching their neighbors how to read and write without any fee, who are considered assets by oda nations; if Russia considers these ones to be extremists, den I fear for religious freedom.
JW are never terrorist, never extremists. Being a witness is personal as no one is coerced into being one. And if u want to leave, u re free. DAT JW shun apostates is for protection. The apostates knw DAT dia tongue is full of poison, as per blood transfusion, d JW seek the best medical treatment rather Dan settle for less (blood transfusion)

  49. Wot happens to d apostles will replay here. Wen d apostles were persecuted and fled, d persecution helped to propagate d message. Similarly, so many persons who never heard abt d JW b4 now due to d ban on our JW.Org website and d international community are beginning to learn for d first time d unjust treatment meted out to a group DAT poses no threat.

  50. Comment: Right-thinking persons will agree with me that Satan is the one promoting & fuelling all the persecutions of Jehovah’s people. But we are solidly confident that Satan is never stronger that Jehovah & that any one among us here speaking against the true christians (Jehovah’s Witnesses) as law-abiding as they are, sure proves himself to run allies with Satan the Devil the chief enemy of Jehovah and his people, and no weapon whatsoever fashioned against God’s people wil have any success- Isaiah 54:17

    • So if recognize that I am a sinner and put my faith in Jesus ransom sacrifice without the blessing of the Jehovah’s Witnesses I am not a Christian? Can you explain to me please what the definition of Christian is? I think I may be confused.

  51. What is having in Russia and some other Countries where some people in Authority does not know the true definition of extremism, will no doubt make many people to learn about who Jehovah’s Witnesses are. This will consequently make them understand that what Jehovah’s witnesses are going today is equally the same thing that the Apostles and Disciples of Christ went during their life time.

The Persecution of Jehovah’s witnesses will eventually result in total happiness and great joy before the great day of Jehovah. And it will not be too long.

The Bible gives the true answer. The Bible says that the people of the world will be very worried for the fact that the name of Jehovah has been called upon this people and this will make them to be afraid of them. And why are the people of the WORLD AFRAID? It is simply because they are very truthful and honest.

Many countries that understand and realize the great work that is being accomplished by Jehovah’s witnesses do not ban them but rather encourages them to continue in their God given work.

Many people who were previously Armed Robbers,, Thieves and drug addicts etc, have now changed and have become very good citizens. If the those of the Russian Federation have understood what Jehovahs Witnesses stand for, they would not have attempted to cogitate of ever banning them. Many Governments of this World spend Millions and Billions of Dollars and pounds in attempting to make people change their behavior or character and integrate fully in the Society and yet with much failures.

Jehovah’s witnesses Elders and Ministers in their Religious Organizations are volunteer preachers who are not paid any money, unlike the Religious Pastors and Clergymen of the other Religious groups who are paid or who enrich themselves and buy luxurious cars and even some time own private jets. Whatever those Religious Leaders do with their members does not in anyway concern us. What we are pleading is that our brother and Sisters in Russia and all those Countries where they are currently banned, should be granted Freedom of worship, to worship their true God Jehovah.

    • I am so glad to hear you proclaim how truthful and honest Jehovah’s Witnesses are. For anyone wanting more information on this, please do some research about Jehovah’s Witnesses and Theocratic Warfare. It may be eye opening. Maybe that is why Russia was worried?

  53. Excellent move by the Russians. My wife got sucked into this cult that results in her wasting her time away from family walking between houses trying to suck in unsuspecting outsiders. I wish JWs were also banned in the US, but alas, they are not going to be.

  54. I suggest everyone here do a google search on the tax returns of The Bible And Tract Society aka Jehovah’s Witnesses…
    (‘Henrietta M. Riley Trust’)
Look who they invest their members money in and then let’s restart this conversation about how harmless they are.
