The Ministry of Health has appointed a new communications director. He is Sorbor B. George, who prior to his MOH appointment, has been one of Liberia’s top radio personalities with the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) where he served as director of news. George was a lead presenter of the “Super Morning Show” for more than two years, a release said.
He resigned recently due to what many referred to as poor working conditions at the state-owned corporation.
His resignation sent a wave of shock as many including Executive Mansion officials expressed regret, describing him as one who showed a high level of “dedication and commitment to duty.”
Mr. George has meanwhile termed his resignation as “personal.”
Mr. George worked with then Star Radio until it was shut down owing to a “financial crisis.”
With such an experienced reporter, producer and presenter serving as communications director, many are of the conviction that MOH programs and policies are now going to be well articulated and publicized.
