Mr. William G. Greaves, Jr., former Consul General of the Republic of Liberia, accredited to New York, has officially announced his intentions to contest the Monserrado Senatorial seat vacated by the President George Manneh Weah. Greaves spoke from his Manhattan, New York residence in an interview in the United States.

When asked about the big names and big money in the race, the former Consul General expressed a great deal of enthusiasm: “I am a very positive person. I would rather talk about what I bring rather than what others cannot”.
The potential Senatorial aspirant further said, “My focus is the people and my goals will be the goals of the people. It is only as we develop others that we permanently succeed.”
Commenting on his vision and his style of leadership, Hon. Greaves iterated, “my vision, energy, and mighty heart will harness the amazing drive of the people and galvanize the building of a relationship of mutual trust, respect, and reciprocity.”
When asked what he will do for the people of Montserrado County when elected; the Honorable William G. Greaves, Jr. promised to elaborate the details of his platform in the coming weeks and stated initially “I will concentrate on cementing the successes the successes of our distinguished President H.E. George Manneh Weah and it is my hope that he will support me in my quest”.
Meanwhile, Mr. Akoi, founder and president of ROZA Sports Association in the USA & Liberia respectively, has pledged, with utter commitment, his support, and endorsement for Mr. Greaves to be elected Senator of Montserrado County.
Mr. Akoi lauded the former Consul General for his international relationship, inclusive leadership skills, connections, intellectual and technical knowledge to further enhance economic development for Montserrado County.
He further lamented that the potential Senatorial aspirant, Hon. Greaves, Jr. is “the most capable and best suited to attract investors, create an opportunity for small businesses and will ensure that resources are evenly distributed for fair and sustainable economic growth in Montserrado County.”
Mr. Akoi who is a staunch CDCian at the executive level, stood firm and resolved by giving his full support to aspirant Mr. Greaves, Jr. for the vacant Montserrado County Senatorial seat instead of Rep. Saah H. Joseph and Rep. Acarous M. Gray, currently serving the 54th Legislature.
