Former Rivercess County Representative Jerry Masseh has died. He was 56.
He died last Saturday at the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Medical Center in Sinkor following a period of illness, the family has confirmed.
The late Masseh represented the people of Rivercess Electoral District #2, now District #1, at the 52nd National Legislature until 2011, when he lost to Alfred G. Tweh.
Solomon B. Masseh, son of the deceased, said his father died from high blood pressure, a disease he reportedly suffered from for several years.
Solomon said his father had gone into coma after playing with some of his grandchildren. He was rushed to JFK around 3 a.m. Saturday, and died an hour later.
The late Jerry Masseh’s remains are deposited at the Samuel Stryker Funeral Home in Sinkor, while the family is arranging a series of meetings for his burial.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Marie D. Masseh, 18 children and 38 grandchildren.
