Says Ecobank MD Mensah-Asante; launches customer service week
Ecobank Liberia on Friday, October 12, launched its 2018 Customer Service Week in the country. The launch marked Ecobank’s 19 years of excellent customer service delivery to it clients.
George Mensah-Asante, Managing Director of the Ecobank Liberia, who commented on the weeklong celebration reiterated the bank’s commitment to excellent service delivery that will continually meet the needs and aspirations of its customers.
He used the opportunity to express gratitude to and celebrate the bank’s valued customers, providing the assurance that Ecobank Liberia will remain committed to excellence in product and service delivery across its network.
“After months of hard work and dedicated services to our valued customers, we are delighted to officially launch Ecobank Liberia Customer Service Week, under the theme: ‘Excellence Happens Here’,” Asante said. “Excellent customer service is paramount to our existence as a bank. It is more than just providing answers. It is educating customers on the accessibility and usage of our products and services and the convenience they enjoy. It begins with a smile and a friendly word, and ends with sharing our expertise,” he noted.
According to him, the bank, as part of its key agenda, ensures that both current and prospective clients are delighted with its services. He said Ecobank’s helpful, welcoming employees are always ready to advise on digital offerings that promote convenience and accessibility.
The Ecobank Mobile App has been touted as the best-in-class for everyday banking transactions, including; transfer of funds locally and to other countries where Ecobank is present, opening instant digital accounts (Ecobank Xpress Account), without having to go physically to the bank, payment of utility bills, school fees.
In addition, customers can purchase airtime from MTN & ORANGE and pay merchants online and in-store. The App also allows the generation of e-tokens, which can be redeemed at any Ecobank LRD ATMs without the use of a card. Users can also stop or confirm cheques and generate account statements without going to the bank. According to Ecobank, there are currently more than 96,000 Liberians using the App.
Customer Service Week is a global event established by the International Customer Service Association. It is a weeklong series of activities dedicated to raising awareness on customer service and the vital role it plays in successful business practices. During the week, Senior Management Staff members across the bank will be available to serve customers as Tellers, Customer Service Officers and Shop Floor Executives to commemorate the Customer Service Week 2018.
