Ecobank Shows Digital Prowess with ‘MOVE on UP’ Campaign

In an effort to improve on its services to customers, Ecobank Liberia has launched its ‘Move on Up’ campaign in Liberia, giving customers easy access to services through the use of digital platforms such as mobile banking and ATMs, as well as doing business online.

The campaign was launched last weekend at its head office on Randall Street in Monrovia. According to Acting Managing Director David Thompson, the campaign is centered on the bank’s drive to ensure that its customers have access to its world class financial services.

Thompson said the campaign, which has an internal deposit promotion component for staff members, shows how the pan-African bank is stepping up to provide banking services to customers across the continent.

“The bank has invested a lot in technology to ensure our customers have world class banking services across Africa and beyond. We encourage our customers to make the most use of it,” he said.

Mr. Thompson said the new campaign is aligned with the aspirations of the bank’s customers and demonstrates how “our banking solutions standout from our competitors, and help our customers every day.”

He then highlighted the importance of Ecobank E-Products and services, including prepaid cards, ATMs, Retail Internet Banking (online Western Union and Moneygram) and Ecobank new mobile app, among others.

Making a presentation during the launch, Ecobank Liberia Head of Consumer Banking, Gibson Kollie, explained that the new products and services would be shortly rolled out throughout the country.

Mr. Kollie said the bank would continue to give customers access to more choices with a wider range of products and services.

“Customers throughout Africa are upwardly mobile and have many more opportunities to move ahead in life,” he said.

He used the occasion to extend gratitude to the bank’s employees and encouraged them to market the various e-products for the benefit of their numerous customers.
