Deputy Transport Minister Juanita Traub Bropleh has called on her staff to work together as a team at the ministry.
Madam Bropleh made the statement recently when she officially took over the new portfolio as Deputy Minister for Land and Rail Transport.
Madam Bropleh was nominated recently by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to the position and was confirmed by the Senate.
“I will remain committed to promoting teamwork, not only in the Department of Land and Rail in particular but the Ministry as a whole,” she said.
Madam Bropleh stated that her previous job at the LRA has afforded her the opportunity over the years to regularly interact with staffers of the Ministry of Transport.
She told staff that she would institute necessary reforms that will boost government revenue collection through the services provided by the ministry.
She used the occasion to acknowledge her boss, Madam Angela Cassell Bush, Minister of Transport and promised to initiate sound policies from time to time for the growth and overall improvement of the transport sector.
She expressed thanks to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for her preferment and pledged to work assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in her.
Earlier in welcome remarks, Assistant Transport Minister for Land and Rail Transport, Abu Bana Kamara thanked President Sirleaf for appointing Minister Bropleh to the ministry, adding that she made no mistake for her appointment.
Mr. Kamara assured Minister Bropleh that they will work together as one family to ensure that the work at the ministry achieves maximum success.
For his part, Deputy Minister for Administration and Insurance, Bushuben Keita called on the staff at the ministry to work with the new deputy minster to achieve the ministry’s goals.
