Conex Partners with Government, Constructing Roads

On Friday, February 15, 2019, The Chairman and CEO of Conex Petroleum Group of Companies (“CONEX”), Cherif M. Abdallah was led by His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah in touring the Gibraltar community in Clara Town.  The purpose was to identify roads for an upcoming road project to be constructed by The Conex Foundation, the charity arm of CONEX.

Mr. Abdallah stated that this project will be the continuation of its community assistance road project which is a part of its corporate social responsibility to the people of Liberia through this government.   He said, “Indeed we must all come together and join our national leaders in building our physical infrastructure and people capacity to ensure a prosperous nation”.  For his part, President Weah thanked CONEX for its commitment to national development and encouraged others to follow suit.

At the end of the tour, Mr. T. Nelson Williams, II, Chief Operating Officer of CONEX and Executive Director of the Conex Foundation, assured the community that the project will commence in two weeks and that residence of the community will be recruited to participate in the project.

President Weah admonished the community organizers to cooperate with the technical team from CONEX and give their full support to the project.

It can be recalled that the Conex Foundation constructed and dedicated a road valued at $428,000.00 near the French Embassy, Congo Town in October, 2018.

Others touring the Gibraltar Community were Mohamed Sow (Conex Partner),  Hon. Nathaniel McGill (Minister of State for Presidential Affairs), Hon. Samuel Tweh (Minister of Finance), Hon. Nyemadi Pearson (LPRC Managing Director) and Hon. Finda Bundoo (Chief of Protocol).
