Liberia: Richmond Bethuel Goodridge Dies

Richmond Bethuel Goodridge has passed away peacefully in his 87th year on May 28, in Wilmington, Delaware.
Early on, he was predeceased by his father, James N. D. Goodridge, and three of his elder brothers. The remaining brothers, Jonathan Everett, John Edmond, James Wilfred, Charles Arnold, Amos Burgess, and their youngest brother, Richmond Bethuel, formed a united, blended family under the tender, loving care of their mother Nancy Garnett Goodridge Padmore and her husband, Jacob A. Padmore. All of whom, along with his wife Henrietta preceded Richmond in death.
Richmond was a man of few words, but he loved to laugh. He has left us with fond memories of his humor, smiles, and laughter.
He is survived by: His children: Cherrine (Christian Smith), Richmond, (Ayo), Alvin (Hawa), Maurine
(James Wilson) and Hazele.
His Grandchildren: Christa (Amir) Cecil, Ronell, Estenia, Bethuel, Rothney Tonie, Mikhail, Alvin, Dalvin,
Kalvin, Stacy (Mac), Monhjah and Jarine.
His Great-grandchildren: Aria, Elizabeth, Mckinzie, Briana, Elijah, Mckayla and Ezra.
He is also survived by his close knit Goodridge, Garnett and Padmore nieces, nephews and cousins.
He had a special bond with and will be missed by his childhood cousins Algernon Porte, Preston Padmore and Rachel Garnett.
He was a member of the Circle Club whose surviving members are Milton Greaves, Dr. Vuyu Golokai, Alexander Mombo, Lawrence Norman, Robert Tubman, Cletus Wotorson and his close friend Frances Chu-Chu Horton.
May his soul rest in peace.
