With the military presence of Russia in Ukraine, there is Rain on Ukraine. There are many  people who think that the Rain on Ukraine does not concern them because the Rain on Ukraine is not the rain on them. These people think that when the rain falls in Ukraine, it does not fall on them. The Truth of the Matter is that when rain falls locally, it falls globally. As Ukraine is part of the Global Community, when it rains on Ukraine, it rains on other parts of the world.

With the military presence of Russia in Ukraine, the world is placed on the edge of the start of the Third World War, as NATO is on one side and Russia is on the opposite side in the confrontation over Ukraine. Due to the fact that the President of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Xi Jinping has emerged as global leader, given the dismal performance of former President of the United States of America (USA), Mr. Donald Trump, President Xi is in an excellent position to serve as Mediator in a trilateral or troika Summit of the leaders of NATO, Russia and PRC.

When President Xi addressed the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, he promoted multilateralism and was given a rousing applause while former President Trump was given a thumbs down for promoting unilateralism. The fact that the USA, Germany, Japan, France, Italy, Canada, the Nordic countries, nearly all other countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America and NATO in general favor multilateralism and Russia and PRC are for multilateralism as well favors the basis for the expectation of an outcome from talks seeking to prevent World War III. Therefore, the Summit of the leaders of NATO. Russia and the PRC should be encouraged.

The encouragement of the Summit bears history in mind. The USA is influenced by the absence of an invasion in her history. Russia is influenced by the presence  of an invasion in her history. In the practice of foreign policy, countries are influenced by their respective experiences with neighbors and others abroad. While these influences prevail under personalized and institutionalized circumstances, they provide guidance to State actors in the implementation of their respective foreign policies. Such guidance has to be taken into account in approaching the prevention of violent conflict.

Already, some States have begun to use the Rain on Ukraine as a technique to detract the attention of voters from longstanding and widespread national issues such as economic fragility and malaise, corruption, social problems and sub-regional relationships. However, to the extent that the local realities have an impact on global realities, urgent efforts must be exerted to prevent the emergence of World War III.

What is being said here is a Wake Up Call for action to prevent World War III from taking place. The PRC is in an excellent position to mediate in the conflict in Ukraine. In the interest of Saving Lives, let us call upon the PRC to convene a Summit immediately to prevent World War III.
