Liberia: Qatar Donates To Liberian Muslims

The State of Qatar, through its embassy near Monrovia, has donated food items worth thousands of United States dollars to scores of Liberian Muslims.

The money used to purchase the donated materials came from the Qatar Fund for Development, a Qatari-based development establishment, the embassy said during the donation. The food items target the poor and needy people during the Holy Month of Ramadan, as charity is encouraged. 

Qatari-Liberian relations are solid and firm in development and humanitarian areas. And, of course, this gesture from the Qataris represents the Liberian-Qatari friendship. 

The thousands of Liberians who benefited from the distributions, including the National Imams Council of Liberia, the Heritage Central Mosque, Khatain Children’s Village (Islamic Orphanage), Fanima Islamic Center, and other institutions. The beneficiaries expressed their delight and happiness about the donation.
