Liberia: Lifeless Body of Man, 42, Found in Gibio Community, Pleebo City

The lifeless body of Matthew Sieh, 42, was discovered on Monday, February 12, in the Gibio Community in Pleebo City, Maryland County. The deceased was a resident of the Zone 4 community in Pleebo. His parents, who were eminent citizens of the area, predeceased him, residents told the Daily Observer.

Upon receiving the news about the discovery of Matthew Sieh’s corpse, police and medical practitioners, headed by CSD investigator Detective Jimmie T Kaydor, set up a 15-men coroner jury.

The fifteen men jury, medical practitioners, and investigators conducted an examination and Observed the body during the process. The medical practitioners pronounced the body dead, while the jurors and investigators observed the lifeless body with 4 deep Cuts (INJURIES) on the forehead, injuries on the back, on the right ear, and on the left foot; with bruises all over the body of the deceased. 

The jurors’ report also established that all body parts were intact, with no parts extracted. The body of the deceased was turned over to the family while a medical report is pending.

Meanwhile, a family member, William Sieh, told police that before the death of Matthew Sieh, he had been a notorious criminal and that, because of this attitude, he had disassociated himself from the rest of the other relatives.

Meanwhile, onlookers at the same time said despite the late Matthew Sieh having a criminal record, he was also seen repairing shoes, unloading trucks at the Pleebo parking station, as well as selling fish.

J. Bannie Neufville, a medical practitioner, disclosed in a press interview that upon examination of the body of Matthew Sieh, it was established that he had expired and that the incident may have happened overnight on February 11, 2024.

Nurse Bannie Neufville noted that one tooth of the deceased had been removed, but said it may have been removed a long time ago because the spot appeared old.

At the same, Nurse Neufville established that there were no parts extracted but identified bruises and cuts all over his body, despite the cause of his death yet uknown.
