Liberia: Jorg Wolf Foundation Reaches Out to Orphanages in Grand Bassa

In continuation of its yearly charity gesture, the Jorg Wolff Foundation has donated food and non-food items to three orphanages in Grand Bassa County.  The initiative, which put smiles on the faces of poor and vulnerable people in that county, was done through the New Apostolic Church.

Under the motto: “HUNGRY AND NEEDY,”  the New Apostolic Church of South Germany finances relief projects and supports mission work in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia, and Ivory Coast.

Apostle Alexander Wleh, who led the donation process together with other members, was given a warm reception by jubilant beneficiaries.

Orphans from the Zinc Camp in Compound #3, David Town Children Home, and the Edina Children Center were among those that benefited from this year’s donation.

Presenting the items,  Apostle Wleh, thanked the home for the warm welcome accorded them, adding that we will continue to help you people.

He explained that every year the church with funding from Jorg Wolf Foundation to Africa, has been giving humanitarian gestures to less privileged communities, the aged and destitute children in orphanage homes across the country.

Apostle Wleh noted that the Church is not only limited to preaching the gospel but also helping poor people as Jesus Christ was doing.

He said Jesus Christ was not only preaching the gospel but was also feeding the poor to  minimize the sufferings of poor people who can’t afford a meal a day for their families.

At the David Town Children Home, the items were received by Mr. Roosevelt Kanneh, director explained how difficult life is for the kids considering the high cost of living now in the country and especially how most of them survive through kind gesture.

He thanked JW Foundation for reaching out to them and prayed that God continues to grow the church and bless its members who are a blessing to them.

There were songs of praise as the beneficiaries explained their unbearable conditions of living. “Things are hard and even we have to look at humanitarians for the survival of the homes.

At the Edina Children Center, the team was welcomed by the sounds of drums and singing of songs, as smiles beam across the faces beneficiaries—a manifestation of how happy they were to receive from the Church.

All the centers visited were very much appreciative of the gesture from the JW Foundation and how their timely intervention has brought hope and joy to them.
