Liberia: Cece United, Tamma Corporation Sign L$2.25m Sponsorship Deal

After bagging home US$10,000 as champions of the 2021/22 Orange 2nd Division league, Cece United on Wednesday signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with Tamma Corporation, valued at L$2.25 million.

The deal will run for the next three years, according to the agreement.

Tamma is an Information Technology and Media Marketing company with expertise in project management that has continued to provide services in technology consultation, marketing and other professional services over the years.

“Through this sponsorship agreement, Tamma as our primary and chief sponsor, will provide L$2.25 million for the three years period (L$750,000 annually) and will serve as official broadcaster of Cece United events and games as well as Cece United’s Primary Ticket Management Provider with the eWallie mobile payment platform,” Cece United said in a statement.

Under the three-year sponsorship agreement, Cece United will promote and advertise the images and brands of all Tamma products and affiliate companies’ products including eWallie (a digital payment mobile app system), School-MaSS, ePaD and Tamma TV.

Mr. Abdullah L. Kamara, CEO of Tamma Corporation lauded the young team of administrative staff of Cece United for the level of commitment and dedication towards the success of the club since its foundation and said that he was particularly convinced by “the progression the team has made over the last few years and we believe that this partnership will be a win-win situation. Personally, I believe in youth development and we intend to make sure that we partner with institutions run by youths in order to provide more opportunities,” Mr. Kamara said.

For his part, the CEO of Cece United, Pawala Janyan, said he sees the deal as a change in Liberian Football and expressed hope that other companies in Liberia follow the steps of Tamma Corporation. His club continues to provide the opportunity for young players to explore their potentials and achieve their goals on and off the pitch.

Cece United have become one of the fast-growing teams in the Liberia league after taking four seasons to progress from the 4th division to the 1st division league. After securing promotion to the 2nd division league last season, they took the league by surprise as they went on to win the 2nd division league title this season and will participate in the top-tier league next season.
