The second edition of BlueCrest University’s yearly “Let’s Make Liberia Great” scholarship program has been launched, encouraging undergraduate students to pursue higher education at the institution.

The annual scholarship, which is a component of the university’s CSR, was created as a "heartfelt mandate for supporting the Pro-Poor Agenda of the Liberian government" to aid students who wish to pursue a BSC in IT and a BBA.

The university welcomes more than 200 applications for this year's scholarship, from which 30 students will be selected. The application process runs from November 25 to January 11, 2023.

After taking an evaluation test, the 30 students — all of whom ought to be recent high school graduates — will be chosen. The evaluation test will be conducted on  January 14, 2023.

The highest-scoring students will receive a full scholarship, followed by the next-best students, who will receive a 50% scholarship. The remaining students will receive a 25% scholarship.

The university's president, Dr. Umesh Neelakantan, reaffirmed BlueCrest’s interventions in higher education as open and forward-thinking. He also affirmed that BlueCrest had established a goal of turning Liberia into the continent of Africa's educational hub.

Out of 74 applicants in the previous round, 30 received university scholarships. The top six performers received a full scholarship, followed by the next top 10 students who received 50% and the remaining 14 students received 25%.
