Liberia: AMI to Expand Healthcare Services in Monrovia
According to AMI Liberia, the new hospital, when completed, will comprise two floors with a 24-hour emergency room, x-ray facility, pharmacy among others
AMI Expeditionary Healthcare- Liberia, a full-service medical assistance and remote medical support provider, is expanding its medical services with the construction of a “new state-of-the-art hospital in Monrovia.
According to the medical institution, the construction of the new medical facility is as a result of “incredible growth at its current clinic” located on 19th Street in Monrovia.
It may be recalled, the clinic in 2020 helped in stabilizing the health condition of Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor after she contracted the COVID-19 virus before she was flown abroad for advanced treatment.
When completed, the new hospital, according to AMI Liberia, will comprise two floors with a 24-hour emergency room, x-ray facility, pharmacy, training center, a lab that allows the hospital to run labs on-site, one adult intensive care unit, and one pediatric intensive care unit.
It will also include six private rooms that will be available for adult patients and two designated for pediatric patients. Additionally, “our two operating theatres will be available for minor urological surgical procedures.”
AMI Liberia also disclosed that it is expanding its capabilities with additional services in the fields of urology-a branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract, gynecology, pediatrics and ophthalmology.
