Behold! This strange and wily beast
On all your dreams he’s sure to feast
Your fears and worries make him fat
This creature called the Bureaucrat
He sees your life as mere red tape
To useless rules he clings and scrapes
He makes us walk a rigid line
When we misstep we pay a fine
When you’ve inhaled some noxious vapor
Before getting help you sign a paper
If your son’s been shot and bleeds all over
“He’ll wait his turn!” says society’s drover
When facing an emergency
She’ll say, “You have to pay a fee!”
The private sector and government
Are where this creature’s time is spent
No new ideas or sympathy
Just arrogance and apathy
Beware my friends the Bureaucrat!
The whole earth is its habitat
