The search for Liberia’s representative at this year’s Next Movie Star reality television show has ended with Pamela Pewu and Dell Kollie, after winning two auditions.
Versatile actor E. Owusu Dahnsaw, who represented Liberia last year and emerged as the third runner-up, said Pamela and Dell were able to come out victorious after two rigorous auditions organized recently in Monrovia.
Dahnsaw described the two as ‘very talented’ and believed that anyone of them can win first place.
“We hosted the audition on a transparency basis and there was no foul play. Our judges were not only competent and transparent, but they also instituted all necessary measures to avoid cheating.
“Everyone that participated in the auditions know that Pamela and Dell won without anyone cheating or foul play,” Dahnsaw said.
He added that this is the first time that Liberia will be represented by two candidates, which came as a result of his excellent performance during last year’s event.
A 30-day reality TV show, the Next Movie Star is centered on discovering, nurturing and promoting new actors for the African entertainment industry.
Since its beginning years ago the reality television program has improved a lot in discovering and promoting stars like Tonto Dike, Annie Idibia, Kelvin Chung Pam, Portia Yamahan, Queen V, and more.
The winner of the show will walk away with a brand new SUV, cash, and Nollywood movie contracts, management deals, change of wardrobe, and more.
Pamela and Dell will be leaving the country for the event on October 30, on a one-way ticket at their expense to begin training.
However, the hosts of the show will handle their return ticket.
Liberia, celebrate your very own and lend them all the support required to make us proud.
