A year after the first edition ended with the winner walking away with a car, a cash prize of US$3,500 and a laptop, the second edition of the reality beauty pageant show “Face of Paynesville” will be officially launched for public participation.
The event, which will take please on November 7 at the Banana Lodge in Thinker’s Village, is expected to introduce the 15 contestants to the public and announce the SMS voting code.
The chief organizer of the pageant, Layee Bility, said the competition has now reached the stage where the public can get involved through the SMS voting code platform.
“All thecontestants have been assigned a short voting code and the public will be informed about how the voting process works and the cost for voting during the launch,” he added.
Though the cost per SMS voting was not revealed, Bility said it would be reasonable for everyone to participate.
“Those who always wish to see how prepared our contestants are for the contest will not be able to see that during the launch,” Lyee Bility said.
“Due to some reasons, the event will not be aired live but it will be shown the next day as it was done during the second phase, which was the training period.
“Face of Paynesville is not only intended to empower girls from Paynesville city but to also make than role models for future generations.”
The winner of this year’s Face of Paynesville will walk away with alarger cash prize thanwas given to last year’s winner, a one week stay in a luxury hotel, a car, among others thing.
He noted that the spirit of enthusiasm from the public toward the launch is high and hopethey would keep it up.
The theme for this year’s Face of Paynesville is: “Introducing the Beauty of Fashion in Paynesville.”
The show starts at 6:30 p.m., and entrance fee is US$20.
