The chief organizer of “Face of Paynesville” beauty pageant Lyee Bility has lauded contestants for showing a keen interest in the second edition of the program.
“The registration process began at a very slow pace, but it all ended well,” he said.
He said further said, “without these contestants there could be no Face of Paynesville and after one month of hard work, I would just like to congratulate everyone for a job well done.”
He said the commitment shown by the contestants during the registration was beyond the team’s imagination, giving them a reason to extend heartfelt gratitude for such efforts.
“We entertain the hope that this newly established friendship with the participants will go a long way,” he said. “My heart is filled with joy that most of the contestants that registered for the show are community-friendly and individuals with good character.”
The registration process of the competition, which began in July, ended August 31 with 12 contestants from various communities in Paynesville entering the event.
The winner of this year’s “Face of Paynesville” will walk away with a car, an increase in the cash prize of US$3,500 and a laptop, among others.
He said the competition has now entered its second phase, where the contestants will be taught all basic skills of pageantry, including how to speak, walk, dance, pose and portray themselves confidently.
He said also as organizer his team remains committed to its promise of making young girls realize their dream through pageantry. It is our prayer that they continue that same spirit of enthusiasm shown during the registration process.
The second edition of Face of Paynesville will be held under the theme: “Introducing the Beauty of Fashion in Paynesville.” The event will be a reality show featuring beachwear, evening gowns and an interview before a panel of judges.
“Face of Paynesville” is geared towards the empowerment of young girls within Paynesville City.
