After being awarded the prize “Mr Universal Ambassador – Africa,” Clarence Success Cooper has promised to engage government and other stakeholders to develop a program that will empower upcoming and talented male models.
The Mr Universal Ambassador pageant ran from November 3-13 in Indonesia and featured events like pool hunk modeling competition and sport competition, for which Clarence was the overall winner.
During the final, the judges selected the Liberian representative as one of the winners. The Liberian representative at the pageant was the only person to finish among the top five in all major preliminary competitions.
“I’m going to work with relevant authorities to design strategies that will support upcoming models in Liberia and encourage them to pursue there dreams of becoming a world class model,” he said.
Though he did not state when this consultation work with the relevant government ministries will begin, he, however, said such a plan will make the dream of many male models become a reality by enabling them to represent Liberia on the international stage.
“I entered the competition with the motivation to win, and by grace I did not disappoint my county. I’m proud that Liberia came out victorious,” added Cooper.
“I will do all I can to make sure that the Liberian government and its people promote male pageants like it is done with their female counterparts.”
Clarence extended his heartfelt thank to all Liberians who voted from around the world, and especially to all those that contributed to making his trip to Indonesia a reality.
