DopeMusic Empire versatile artist Jodi Clarke makes MTV Base chart history this week becoming the first Liberian artist to occupy the popular America-based entertainment TV show.
The “Baby I do” star continues with his brand new video titled “Beaucoup D’argeant” featuring Ivorian sensation Serge Beynaud. The two heavyweight acts teamed up in Paris to produce the massive “coupe decale” record, which is gaining heavy buzz across the continent.
Jodi Clarke says the collaboration for him was a major accomplishment as a Liberian artist who grew up in the Ivory Coast and studied their style of music.
“It’s a pleasure coming back years later to work with the biggest Ivorian artist Serge Beynaud. It is an expansion of my fan base,” he added.
Not forgetting his previous collaborations with Bracket from Nigeria and EFYA from Ghana.
Shot by highly revered French cinematographer Kyba and co-directed by SB, the crisp video was filmed in Abidjan. The video is now playing on MtvBase, TraceAfrica, SoundCity and Channel O.
Meanwhile, Jodi has his interest set on promoting education, especially in Liberia. He recently released a statement about a collage/high school tour in the making aimed at promoting Liberian arts and culture through music and education.
