Joe Baby takes a deep breath reflecting on the past years and how things have unfolded for him in making a quick hit in the industry.
The multi talented actor/director/producer/artist, who just completed a cinema hit joint, chatted with our LIB Life reporter to talk about his new project, career and the biggest win in his life.
Joe Baby revealed that he’s working on a new project — Beautiful Beast.
“I put my all into this movie and hope for the best. I had to send for two top actor(s) and actress(s) from Sierra Leone and Nigeria to give this film international class,” he shared.
Beautiful Beast is said to be a movie that portrays the up and down’s of a producer who goes through challenging obstacles before reaching his peak in the movie industry.
“Beautiful Beast has lots of suspense that touches the heart. It has a good story line and has quality standard,” he added. “Lollywood has been growing at a fast pace this year,” he said.
According to Joe Baby, like so many Liberian producers who have been actively producing films, Liberian producers have to start making movies that have good quality.
“We need to do all we can to compete with the film industry at the international stage,” he added.
Joe Baby feels that the lack of online television stations promoting Liberian movies to the outside world is scarce, which is a major problem for the industry.
Meanwhile, Joe Baby says he has dedicated his entire life to entertainment.
“I’m trying to make some positive contributions to the advancement of the entertainment industry. The best secret for my success is commitment and dedication to the things that I love to do the most,” he shared.
LIB Life asked Joe Baby the biggest question — how does it feel being the new president for the Actor Guild of the Liberia Movies Union (LIMU)?
“Wow, the win in my career as Chairman of the Actor Guild of the Liberia Movies Union (LIMU) excites me. My new leadership and position will open corridors for actors and actresses to gain from their talents. I’m going to introduce a new policy called tap price, which will determine the price for each actor or actress before going on scene,” he revealed.
“I believe that this policy will help movie casters make a living from their talents. I just want to encourage all moviemakers to continue doing their best.
The bright future is closer,” he said.
