U.S. based Liberian artist, 2C, has featured Akon on his most talked about and expected single, ‘Mr. Mechanic,’ from his upcoming album ‘Bridgin’ Da Gap’ that is being produced by producers like the Grammy nominated Ace Harris.
The two artists became close after the Liberian singer and rapper was signed to the Grammy Award winning Akon’s Konvict Kulture record label, making him the second Liberian the Senegalese American artist has signed.
The song and its video will be dropping on February 8th.
‘Mr. Mechanic’ is sure to become a banger as it comes with catchy lyrics and up-tempo Afrobeat and dancehall flavors, making it good enough for anyone’s playlist.
And due to his unique music style, several media outlets have compared the artist to Flo-Rida and Pitbull for his ability to sing and rap on up-tempo beats.
2C was born in Liberia and and raised in Ivory Cost before moving to the US, where he started to fully put into practice his musical abilities.
Barkue Tubman, the CEO of MBL International, the company that manages publicity for 2C, said the single comes as a preparation for ‘too many singles’ she expects to drop anytime before the end of the year.
Pressed on to give the specific date the album will be dropping, she declined, but said, “very soon. This single is just a teaser for the many goods song that will be coming out on that album.”
The US based Liberian artist has been featured on BET Jazz, The Africa Channel, and other radio stations in the US, the United Kingdom, and more.
