Green Petroleum Liberia Pledges Continuous Support to LFA Leagues

Sidikie M. Bility, CEO of the company, said he's impressed with the level of improvement in the national league.

Green Petroleum Liberia Ltd, the lead sponsor of the LFA 3rd division league, has expressed its continued commitment to the development of football in Liberia.

The assurance from the petroleum company was prompted by its CEO’s impression about the LFA annual awards night, held on Saturday, October 2, at the Ministerial Complex in Paynesville.

Sidikie M. Bility, Green Petroleum’s CEO, who served as one of the presenters at the LFA Annual awards ceremony, said he’s impressed with the level of improvement in the national league.

The awards ceremony is an annual event held to recognize the standout performance of players, coaches, and sports media practitioners and institutions during the previous edition of the Orange national league season.

Green Petroleum in 2019, as part of its corporate social responsibility, signed a four-year sponsorship deal with LFA, valued at L$6.4 million. The deal covers the third division and community league in all 15 counties of Liberia.

Established in 2017, Green Petroleum is a Sole Proprietorship licensed to import and distribute wholesale petroleum products. “We remain excited to partner with the Liberia Football Association, especially as lead sponsor of the 3rd division category of the league.

“Last night, we presented awards to the winner of the best male category of the game and remain grateful for the opportunity to give back to our country.

“Green Petroleum will continue to be a partner in uplifting sports, education, and other sectors of our country as a corporate social responsibility we signed up to,” the company said in a post on its official social media handle.
