FUTBICO and Tebeh Football Agency to Host Tryout in Liberia

An International scouting body, FUTBICO and partner Tebeh Football Agency in Liberia are expected to host a 10-day soccer tryout for over 400 young footballers.

The soccer tryout which will take place in Monrovia, Liberia will feature young players from the West African region including Nigeria, Guinea, Sierra Leone Ghana and Senegal amongst others.

The Directors of FUTBICO, Mr. Renato Cuen and Tebeh Football Agency, Trokon Roberts in separate remarks said the event is aimed at developing young and potential soccer athletes in the region.

Mr. Roberts revealed that Liberia will serve as the official host while the event will kick off on October 30, 2022 with over 400 potential youth players participating in the upcoming soccer tryout.

He asserted that this will be the first of its kind in Liberia on such a large scale as such his organization is overjoyed to be partnering with FUTBICO to organize such a big soccer jamboree.

“Liberia is a talent factory and we want to explore to produce more of soccer legends like President George Weah who hailed from the West African region and later became World Best, and the only African that has won the ballon’dor.  The aim is to provide the best opportunity for these talented youths to excel at international level,” Mr. Roberts asserted.

While Mr. Cuen of FUTBICO emphasized that West Africa has lots of raw soccer gifts and their program is gear toward unearthing and developing those talents for better career opportunities.

He noted that the soccer attraction will be highly competitive as players will have to prove their competence through their basic skills, discipline, and physical fitness to book a spot among the crème de la crème. 

Mr. Cuen emphasized that potential players must display convincing skills to be selected by the agency and subsequently transfer to ply their careers for premium soccer clubs abroad.

“It’s going to be a big and very challenging event; so every player must be at his best both physically and mentally to qualify for the recruitment process,” he concluded.

Futbico is an innovative sports company with a goal of organizing sporting events as a means of scouting and managing the careers of potential and professional soccer players around the world. Currently, the agency has several players in Asia, Europe, North and South America amongst others. 

Meanwhile, the trip to West Africa will be FUTBICO first visit to the continent in search of soccer talents.
