Complaint on the Ivoirian Embassy Accredited to Liberia

His Excellency Mr. Kemayah, Sr.

On behalf of the above-named organization, we write your honorable office to disclose the action of the Ambassador and his two (2) Councilors of the Ivoirian Embassy Accredited to Liberia from January26,2021to July 14,2021.

Africa Democratic Observation for Peaceful Elections and Good Governance (ADOPEGG), is a registered Non-governmental organization in the Republic of Liberia. The organization is concerned with the promotion of peace, elections observation and the acquisition of skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, advocacy, conflict management, policy planning, humanitarian program and youth capacity building.

His Excellency Mr. Dee Maxwell Salah KemayahSr. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, on January 26,2021 we respectively wrote the Embassy of La Cote d’Ivoire to Liberia for the observation of the Legislative Elections in La Cote D’Ivoire wish was due the 06 of March 2021, but we were denied by the Embassy for the participation of the Legislative elections by the lateness of our documents from the Embassy of La Cote D’Ivoire to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of la Cote d’Ivoire.

ADOPEGG has a function to observe and analyze campaigns period, and report all elections process in Africa. The legislative elections in la Cote D’Ivoire were very much cardinal us and to the good people of la Cote D’Ivoire also for the South Region. We can record since January 26,2012 we requested for some other authentic documents from the Embassy (accuser de Reception) that could permit us to access the illegibility of our arrival the Ivorian territory, but there wasn’t a proper response to our concern until the elections process was over.

So seen the unfairness ,and delinquency , we decided to write the Ambassador of La Cote D’Ivoire E.H, Mr. Feni Kouakou on March 25,2021 for Redress and we met with the Ambassador and his entire Diplomatic Corps on March 28, 2021 by 11;30 Am at the his Diplomatic Office, and during the audience the two (2) Councilors who having to be Mr. Toh Roland the First  Councilor and Mr. Gbagui the Second Councilor exhibited the same actions wish lead to our denied of the elections observation and the incompletion of the audience.

Now on July 14,2021 we respectfully went to the Embassy for the response if we can get the response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of La Cote D’Ivoire that could be served for the part of our annual records. While waiting for the Secretary of the Ambassador, and to my surprise I was called by E.H, Mr. Kouakou Feni to his office just a plan to address me on the same issue matter but in unlovely manner by even stopping my NGO to arrive at the embassy next time. I was so embarrassed by his remarks and shame, but I remained mute and I left his office.

With the functions of the Africa Democratic Observation for Peaceful Elections and Good Governance (ADOPEGG) and my status in the society, my NGO and I were expected the proper redress of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, because we disclosed the entire issue to them. With the numerous follows at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia and in conversation with the Special Assistant to the Minister Proper Madam Tawah Blamah Flomo, she makes us to believed that our request was in the proper hands at the Minister office, but to our surprise when we went to the Ministry in December for final follow the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia never had the copy of our Letter. We went to legal department for other follow, but they haven’t the copy as well and Councilor Sheriff was sent to meet me but when I explained from January 26,2021 to December 2021, he only that will not do anything in that matter. The only way the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and legal department could intervene was if someone were attacked or killed but at this stage no intervention.

We the pro-democracy organization the good practices of democracy in Liberia in Africa.

So the Government of Liberia should intervene to this matter.

Sincerely,

Mr. Patrice Z. Bahi
