Winners Chapel International is expected to celebrate its 33rd from Friday, May 2nd to Sunday May 4, 2014.
The celebration will be marked by several religious activities and festivities starting with a “Liberation Night” on Friday, May 2nd at the Winners Chapel, opposite the new Defense Ministry in Congo Town, at 10 P.M.
Ministering will be Bishop David Oyedepo, founder and president of the Winners Chapel International and other anointed men of God.
Organizers have said that a street parade takes place on Saturday, May 3rd at all 23 Winners Chapel locations across Liberia. There will be a thanksgiving service the following day, Sunday, at 8 a.m. at the Chapel headquarters in Congo Town.
The last activity is a “Variety Night” to be held at Winners Chapel, Congo Town, which features performances by key gospel artists, dance troops, drama groups and other forms of entertainments at 4 p.m.
Winners Chapel International was founded in May, 1981, after and 18-hour long vision in which its founder Bishop David O. Oyedepo was mandated to “liberate the world from the oppression of the devil through the perching of the word of faith”.
Since its founding, the Church has spread all over the world with churches in 52 African countries, the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Spain, Belgium, Japan, United Arab Emirates and South Korea.
Winners Chapel Liberia started in 1991 on 12th Street, Sinkor and has since spread to 23 locations in Montserrado, Margibi, Grand Bassa, Sinoe, Lofa, Bomi, Bong, Nimba, Grand Gedeh, Mary land and River Gee Counties.
The Church operates numerous nurseries and primary schools throughout the world including the Kingdom Heritage Model School in Congo Town, Monrovia. It also operates the prestigious Covenant University and the Landmark University in Nigeria. Both are ranked among the world’s best in the disciplines of science and technology, engineering and agriculture.
