The vice president for Institutional Development and Planning at the University of Liberia, Dr. Walter T. Wiles leaves the Country today for Ghana to represent the President of the University of Liberia, Prof. Dr. Emmet A. Dennis.
“I am also carrying 4 applications for Teaching Assistants who want to do Masters in Engineering and 5 in Library Science,” Dr. Wiles said.
He said his trip to Ghana will take him to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Cape Coast University and the University of Ghana in Legon.
At these universities, Dr Wiles said he will hold talks with supervisors of University of Liberia scholarship students studying at these institutions to ascertain the performance and challenges.
“We are principally going to Ghana to talk to our scholarship students’ supervisors in the various universities to know how they are coping with their studies and to seek for enrollment for 9 of our Teaching Assistants.”
Under the EHELD program, several UL personnel are in Ghana studying. He also disclosed that he will be travelling with Dr. Charles Mulbah of Cuttington University.
