A Liberian-owned logistics and supply chain company, Global Logistics Services Incorporated, has opened one of its branches at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) in Harbel, Lower Margibi County.
The RIA branch will provide services to clients in the area and enhance its operational capacity as well as enabling more efficient and proactive management of airfreight supply chain.
The company hopes to be the leading integrated logistics solutions provider in West Africa, according to a communication from GLS. It said it is determined to achieve its goal by leveraging on local knowledge, expertise, international reach and delivering best in-class service and solutions to clients’ problems.
“As part of GLS’ year of transformation of its business, the opening of the RIA office buttresses the notion that the company means business and needs to address the challenge of a growing client base,” it said.
“We understand the challenges faced in such complex fields as oil and gas, mining, power, large scale infrastructure projects and the need to have a service provider that will understand the importance of efficiency and effectiveness and one that delivers an accurate assessment and mitigation of operational risks,” the statement indicated.
Global Logistics is an asset-based company committed to capacity enhancement and will continue to invest in people, equipment and infrastructure.
The management, according to the statement, is dedicated to local content development and competence transfer throughout the region.
