The smash hit Liberian stand-up comedy showcase, Laugh Out Loud Liberia, has returned with its first show of 2016 happening tonight. LOLL – as it is commonly known – is a live showcase of Liberian comedians organized by Marit Woods, CEO of Arway Inc. When Woods started the show in 2013, she envisioned a monthly event “where people could come and just laugh their socks off”, she told the Daily Observer. Held every last Friday of the month at the time, the show took off with rave reviews and solid attendance numbers for the one year that it lasted. “Making folks laugh makes good business,” she said.

The show took a break at the end of 2013 to regroup and plan for a new season. It has been about two years since.

“This is our first show after a long Ebola,” Woods said, “and we are happy to start making Liberia Laugh Out Loud. ARWAY Inc. is proud to promote artistic Liberians, especially comedians.”

Performers include an ace cast including Duke Murphy, Butini, Habakkuk Watara and a new comic, D-Ville Magic. In keeping with ARWAY’s need to promote local artists, guitarist Aaron Kaiwoo will be doing an acoustic piece, while Smooth the Kalokalo Man will sing in KRU. It’s Wednesday, take a break from the week to Laugh at the rest of your week with the LOLL Team!!!!

The show will be held at Gossip Night Club (formally known as Deja Vu) on Wednesday February 3rd. Doors open at 7:30pm. VIP services available. Call 0776134457 or 0880823952 for details.
