2021/22 Orange Women’s Division League Set for this Weekend

Edwardline D. Jackson  of Ambassadors FC will be one of the players to watch out for in the new league season

The new Orange Women’s Upper Division League season takes center stage this weekend with 10 teams participating in the league for the first time.

Five league games will kick off simultaneously (1:30 PM) across five different venues approved for the new league season.

Champions Determine Girls are keen to defend their league title, with PetroTrade Cup winners, Earth Angels, looking to put up a challenge to reclaim the title.

Title challengers, Blanco FC, are also focused on going beyond just being major title contenders. Faith-based Ambassadors FC will have to continue from where they left off if they ought to step further in becoming major title contenders as well.

Margibi-based Hippo FC have another opportunity to do better than the previous season after surviving relegation with a 3-1 aggregate win against Sr. Female Pro in last season’s relegation playoff.

World Girls’ pre-season transfer market shopping and preparation show that they are more focused on clinching the title this season rather than finishing just a few points above the relegation playoff zone.

Newcomers City Football Academy, Shaita Angels, DC Shooters and Soccer Ambassadors will have to firstly find their balance in the new environment before switching their attention to becoming major title contenders.
