Depression in Children and Teens

One will wonder whether children and teenagers can also be depressed. It is true that children can also be depressed. Childhood depression is different from the normal "blues" and everyday emotions that occur as a child develops. If a child is found sad once, this does not necessarily mean that he or she is suffering from depression, but if these symptoms become persistent, disruptive and interfere with social activities, interests, schoolwork and family life, they may indicate that he/she has the medical illness called depression.
