PSI/Liberia Launches Smart Choice Talk Show

The Liberia program of Population Service International (PSI/Liberia) is now taking the airwaves with a sexy, new approach to educating teens as well as other members of the Liberian populace about sexual and reproductive health. Their new radio talk show styled and titled, “Let's Talk Bout Sex”, features two guys and two gals as hosts, all teens, discussing a topic that has for many generations been slapped from the mouths of youth who only trying to understand the means by which we all came into being: sex. In his opening remarks at the launching yesterday in a conference room at the SKD sports complex, PSI Country Representative Axel Addy broke the ice by challenging pundits of the talk show. “Why not,” he asked, chasing his inquisition with striking imperatives. “In Liberia, young people under 25 make up more than 50% of the population; we are a nation of babies having babies… again, I say to you, why not?”
