THE SIGNIFICANCE OF VOLUNTARY SERVICE AND THE NECESSITY OF TEACHING ITS CONCEPT AND PRACTICE IN OUR SOCIETY (PART FOUR)
By Rev. Fr. James B. Sellee
Published: 14 March, 2008
This is the fourth and final article of our series on the necessity of grasping the concept of volunteerism, practicing it ourselves and passing it onto our society and those coming after us. The thrust of this last article is on how rendering free service of all sorts can benefit the individual who provides the voluntary service. This article will proceed as follows: it will first give the gist of each of the previous three articles, and second will close with showing how serving others free of charge can enrich the quality of the life of the donor of voluntary service.
