Liberia: Cece United Seal their 1st Division promotion.

Cece United players and officials celebrate after their 2-0 win against Tony to seal their 1st Division promotion.

Cece United's promotion to the Orange First Division League has been confirmed with three games to spare after their 2-0 home win against Tony FC on Saturday.

Coach Jasper Benfelix’s side extended their lead atop the league table to nine points after Muscat FC, who were second, lost 4-1 to Gardnersville FC, while Jubilee moved second after a goalless draw against Jr. Pro.

Tony Shilley scored the brace as his side sealed their historic promotion. Mathematically, Cece became the first team to secure automatic promotion to the top-tier league. They now need at least a draw from their remaining three games to be crowned champions of the Orange 2nd Division League.

This season will be recorded in the team's history as one of the historic moments after spending a single season in the second league to gain promotion to the first division. Cece won 17, drew one, and lost five to confirm their slot for the first division next season.

This was their debut season in the second division after spending a single season in the 3rd division league last season. The next automatic qualification and promotion playoffs slots are now up for grabs with Jubilee, Muscat, NPA Anchors, and Tony being the contenders.

At the bottom of the table, Life FC's relegation from the Orange Second Division League has been confirmed despite their 4-0 win against Ganta Almighty on Saturday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.
