Family of ‘Paralyzed’ Child Pleads for Help

The grandparent of a 4-year-old child, who was born in an apparent state of paralysis and has failed to acquire basic motor skills, is calling on any humanitarian organization – either based in Liberia or in another country – to come to his family’s aid.
Man, 43, Acquitted of Rape

A 43-year-old man, Oscar Daniels, who since 2010 has been in jail at the Monrovia Central Prison for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl, was yesterday acquitted of the rape charge and subsequently ordered released.
Daniels was accused of raping the girl at Topoe Village Community in Gardnersville, outside Monrovia.
He was acquitted by the First Judicial Circuit Court at the Temple of Justice on Capitol Hill for lack of evidence to convict him of the charge.
