Ellen Grants Doctors' Request, Promises to Use "Discretionary Power"

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, yesterday promised to use her “discretionary power” to grant a request from the president of the West African College of Surgeons (WACS).

WACS president, professor Olasurubomi K. Ogendengbe, had earlier asked the Liberian leader to use her discretionary power to allocate a building in Monrovia to the WACS in Liberia.

The building, according to Madam Ogendengbe, would be used for capacity building and training programs in surgical skills for Liberians.
