Economic transformation through regional integration has taken central stage again in Finance Minister Amara Konneh’s key address to partners at the 2012 joint International Monetary Fund, IMF/World Bank 2012 Annual Plenary Session of Africa Group (1) Constituency meeting in Tokyo, Japan.
In his address, Minister Konneh told the Africa Group 1 Constituency meeting of Governors on Policy Dialogue Tuesday that the Mano River Union (MRU) region, though forgotten, is rich in mineral resources, but remains confronted with numerous challenges that continue to undermine its economic growth.
