E-mail Print PDF

Ganta City authorities on January 2, 2012 donated gifts to the Ganta United Methodist Hospital and other institutions including clinics, radio and police stations as part of the holiday season. The corp of officers from the Ganta City Cooperation, including City Mayor Dorr Cooper, donated stationery, assorted bars of soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to the administrators of the Ganta United Methodist Hospital, Power House and Newman clinics, the Police Detail, Radio Kergheman, and the Voice of Gompa Radio station.

According to the mayor, the police and the community radio stations received a supply of stationery, including reams of paper and boxes of pens, while the hospital and clinics also received stationery along with toilet tissue, toothbrushes, toothpaste and some assorted soap for patients’ use.

He added that the donation was the City of Ganta’s own way of identifying with the institutions during the Christmas and New Year seasons.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Newman Clinic in Ganta, proprietor Dr. Paul Wheseh praised the city’s mayor and his officers for the donations.
“Since this clinic was built, the city authority has always identified with us during the season,” he said.

“These items appear small to you,” said Mr. Jerry Klee of Power House Clinic, but it is something great that you people have done for us in this clinic.”
“We are very happy with this donation, and it will be used for its intended purpose.”
